Piepie I am going to respond to every non-hydra game announcement with a sad face. It's not just about the time constraints. It guarantees that not only do I get to play with someone I love, but I get to learn from them.

It's funny you should say that. The next game I'm planning on designing after this is Mitosis Mafia, a Large/Micro - "9" players, hydras-only, and mechanics/roles/etc. based around the fact that they're hydras. Notably the idea of "splitting" a hydra when it's lynched/killed/whatever into two separate player slots. There's a lot of design space in this if you think about it for a bit, but I'm not going to say anything else in case I say something I want to use later.

Anyway, I still need to figure out what queue that's going in... probably Large Theme but idk.

That game is a Large Theme because of the mechanic that splits hydras into separate players.

Just like in the marathons, in Choose Your Role you get to pick your own role. Whatever you want*. Also you get to pick your alignment**.
*It does not have to be on the list of roles. That said, I reserve the right to reject anything I want. No "Dayvig with 20 kills per day", for example.
**You can either pick an alignment name (E.g. Town, Mafia, Cult), or you can create your own win condition. Again, I reserve the right to reject anything I want. No "You win as soon as the game starts", for example. Also SK is automatically self-aligned even if multiple people pick it.

All named alignments have the win condition that all the other named alignments must die. Any named alignment which begins a minority (If the majority choose mafia then everyone's a mafia traitor and the town are the scum) and will receive factional communication and a nightkill, with the exception of Cult which will receive factional communication and a night-recruit.

If you make up your own role and it conflicts with another one in a way you didn't specify in advance I reserve the right to resolve the conflict however I want.

This game is explicitly guaranteed to be unbalanced and swingy.
