Night 3 - Stay Down...

The events on the previous day happened so swiftly. Sure, the number of townsfolk had been dwindling, but the forces that reckoned against them dwindled as well. For every member of the town that the massive being turned seemed a fool's errand as someone would come up from behind and end them with the same swiftness and vigor. Could the looming threat even grow? She wouldn't stop -- she couldn't, the monster knows only that it must rise above this wretched place -- so even though it lost another this night? It would slither on.

The group seemed just as troubled. They'd make noise, sure, but they couldn't continue on like this the same way the beast could. They knew that without the spider the town would have to find strength within itself to foster the fight ahead. Though they knew it'd take more potions and more footwork... they prepared for this.

She looked forward from her last vial. She'd strike again. Surely the things he'd said about himself implied enough. Certainly this wasn't a fool's errand? She'd hope, but sometimes hope leads one down rabbit holes they can't find themselves out of.

Striking another balance, the old man knew that fact too well. How helpful could this task be when there are so many doing more... focused work? Every head counts.

Though not every head can be trusted. Nor every eye. Sometimes, "seeing is believing" can be a falsehood. Sometimes people see what they want to see. Or what

want you to see. Be wary. An armored fellow who'd spend his nights trying to do the right thing -- stopping those who need stopping -- would come to learn this all too well.

If only they'd just let him work... maybe fewer casualties would meet the day's sun.

So Im watching the Black Mirror series again. Dont watch much TV anymore, and I havent seen the newest ones.

wait how do we know cult started with 1? The cult says it starts with a leader. Also if you fail a recruit the leader dies....

I kind of doubt they start with only one member if the leader dies from falling. That means a n1 failed means the team is gone from the game... That seems like horrible design.

cult probably starts with at least 2, if not 3 players.
If they successfully recruited every night that means we are still dealing with at least 2 or 3 left.

I mean cult doesn’t necessarily die if they fail a recruit. I’ve never seen a cult work like that.

There is a cult. They start with a leader, recruiting once per night; however, scum recruit attempts end in death of the cult leader.
