you would think so, but i got to ask, was this game enjoyable for you as a mod?
Cause personally I don't think I would ever have an interest in running something like this but that's because I think its too simple and boring of a game.
i thought it was interesting to spectate, and having such a large number of people involved brings me joy. yes, some part of that is through something undesirable (a large number of replacements), but even still many people asked to spectate and there was a lot of conversation in the dead thread.

i don't think i really find anything unenjoyable to mod unless i feel like i'm being personally disappointing (as i felt with anuket, although even that i found interesting as a spectator). i think that there were times this game where i wasn't as prompt as i should have been as you pointed out, but apart from that i don't really have that feeling for this game.

another thing that i enjoy is that i think this game will have significance as a "cultural event" or something. basically, the notable nature of this kind of victory combined with the number of people involved here means that this game will be something that people will talk about and refer back to for a while, and i think that's pretty cool.

on the subject of being "too simple", i think there's an audience here for relatively straightforward games like this. not every large theme has to be something insane that takes years of planning just to be run once and then never again.

It's cool man, I was scumreading you too when things came down to the wire. You were also fun to play with.

Congrats scum, I enjoyed watching the townies that treated me unfairly get manipulated by both of you.

I'm also glad it's over so that I can finally talk about things from this game elsewhere.

I strongly prefer these types of straightforward games & am glad that you mod them! I hope you run more of them.

Also NSG I did really enjoy this game (maybe not the whole time throughout but certain parts were very enjoyable) and I appreciate that these kinds of games exist. Thanks for modding as always

i may be underestimating the number of people who really like the kind of games i consider extremely dull and uninteresting.

this game was mostly interesting because of who played in it for me personally, the setup was really a turn off.

I tend to prefer mountainous / close to vanilla games

though this setup in particular was grueling

cultural significance was the wrong choice of words.

i just mean that it will remain something people refer back to. that's true for any game, but moreso for larger games i think.

i think large nightless games in general seem to be grueling.

So, who wants to pre-in for 25 player Half Mast Nightless?
