He went from scum to leaning-scum. He became town after he ate a bullet.

I flaked out of a few games due to disgust with Double-Dip Mafia's terrible play. I decided to stick to a smaller number of games in the future to avoid burn out.

I don't understand how that's a slip. No, I don't know if scum knew of SB's power. If he's scum, I suspect they would already have known his power, but if he's town, then they wouldn't have. I'm saying that it's good policy to not have everyone claim on D1 and we should try to minimize that as much as possible. Do you have an issue with that?

Since you are here Red why don't you answer this -

So let me get this straight – you saw some middling support for lynching the diddin / chkflip slot and jumped onto the 1 person ‘wagon’ understanding that you didn’t actually have the ‘game capital’ to make it a meaningful wagon at this stage of the day?

Well, this is pretty much the gist of it. You spoke as if the scum didn't know SB's power before he claimed (implying that he is town) when you can't know that unless you are scum.

Once kunkstar gives us a flip I’ll return with my vote and a list of players I would support as lynchs for today. We still basically have a 3 day deadline to work with so there is not a ton of time.

Does Chkflip not warrant continued suspicion with you?

And you flaked out crying ‘Oh, woe is me what did I ever do to get suspicion’ when I was properly pushing your lynch. Left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

Why not further interaction regarding me calling your stances scummy? Am I right?

RedCoyote wrote:Votes influence other players, MoI. Surely you agree with that.

This doesn’t answer my questions … you openly acknowledged your ‘vote’ / influence wasn’t going to sway people. So you can’t have it both ways. Here’s what happened.

1. You vote diddin ( a non-viable wagon with only 1 votes before your switch) and in doing so abandoned a vote on Stringer (Top 3 wagon). This was within 4 days (IIRC correctly) of the original deadline.
2. I question you about it and you whipsaw back to Stringer. You explanation is this –

At that point, I counted 3 other people willing to join the diddin wagon (including me and Kdub already voting). If you have a different count, please say so.

That being said, I take no pleasure from sitting on a wagon all by my lonesome.
I do not have the captial (nor the will really, diddin just pinged my gut more than the others on the list) to get this moving either.

In any case, I have no problem with any of the major vote getters here aside from nopoint.

The bolded is the important part IMO.

3. When I ask you why you moved if you knew it was fruitless (which the bolded clearly says) is that ‘Votes influence people’. That’s in direct opposition with the bolded statement where you explicitly said your vote wasn’t going to influence people.

My gut says that you are guilty of the same offense I ‘ve called Stringer out on … taking an action, getting some minor flack from it (and you were clearly not the only one I called out) and immediately reversing course.

There's a reason they say power corrupts.

The indicator blinked incessantly. While the process had told him nothing about what would happen to the selected subject, subconsciously he knew what would. So he took his time deliberating. It had cost him a great deal of synthtime this cycle, but it's not like he was getting any commendations this experiment. He knew that if this did what he thought, it automatically disqualified him from any reward, just on the basis of how contentious a move it was.

One of my reasons for suspecting diddin was a perceived lack of effort in explaining his suspicions and sheeping other people. When he replaced out, that indicated that his play could be explained to some extent by an inability to commit time to the game, so he lost some scum points for that. I still didn't like his play, but I don't have much of a case anymore and chkflip hasn't done anything that I've seen as scummy so far.

VOTE: RedCoyote

I'd be fine with an FC or DGB lynch as well. Going to take another look at Ludi, I've gotten mixed signals from him.

I don't think it's beneficial for me to reveal anything else about my power right now.

That was a poor choice, and I can't decide if it came from a Kdub scum or not. Before his interest in shooting Nonpoint, he listed two primary suspects who he was thinking of shooting and his attention completely shifted to Nonpoint as soon as he claimed, which bothered me quite a bit.

In regards to Furco, I don't think he's scum. Maybe third party, maybe town. Leaning town based on general demeanor throughout posts and his attempts at scumhunting. I don't know if I can happily vouch for a lynch on him at this point.

Magister, you describe yourself to be "scrambling" to find the mafia. You have complied a decent list, so explain your scum reads, if you will. Specifically on Ghostlin and I. Magister reads more as a cocky-scum then and over-confident town. When he said "somebody shoot nonpoint, his walls are full of lies" after nonpoint made a case on him, and Magister failed to elaborate on WHY anything he said was a lie, it bothered me.

FourseenCircumstance, Toog, EtherealCookie and Implosion are all more or less "gut" town reads.

I am willing to vouch for a Magister Ludi, Ghostlin, Sinestro or Ghostlin lynch today. I find myself second guessing my town read on DGB, however I don't think I want his lynch today.

I'm replacing my vote back. I still think the person I was voting for prewipe is a good lynch today.

Vote: Furc

Also, not sure what to make of Kdub's shot; the person as I read him seemed to be one of those null wagons, and now that he's flipped town, I'm not thrilled about this.

No, you're not right.

Go read Double Dip, the original completed game. You'll see why I burnt out.

Now, I'm just hunting scum. If players want to lynch me, there will be no protests from me.

VOTE: Ghostlin

Players at this stage I am actively willing to lynch

DGB
MagisterLudi
Sinestro
Ghostlin
Toogeloo
RedCoyote

Lurkers who I will lynch to avoid a No-Lynch

Whispersilk
PeregrineV
Bunnylover
warriormode

Players I will not support a lynch on even to avoid No-Lynch

Stringer
Kdub
SlySly
Junpei

If you aren’t on any of these lists you are in the Meh, probably would vote at deadline to prevent a NoLynch.

Oh, so the wagon you supported suddenly becomes suspect? And your vote just happens to land on Uber-VI Furc who is under pressure.

Show your work

I've seen Toog more active late game, so I have no problem reserving judgement on him for now.

You'd rather NL than vote Stringer...? I suppose I need to ISO him and do an analysis to post then.

vote furclow

I think that RC might be more scummy (I need to look at more people to be honest) but Furclow claimed for NO REASON other than to make his claim not look bad later on. That, MoI, is what we call scum motivation.

Considering the nature of abilities in this game, this wouldn't have been an issue unless he was forced to claim today. I don't think he was in any danger at the time he claimed. Like I said, Furc gonna Furc.

Doesn't vote because the warrior wagon has 6 votes already and fears a quicklynch

Now, the Fourseen wagon is at its' peak, with 8 votes, Stringer posts without unvoting from Fourseen, who is even closer to a quicklynch than Warrior, except for that Fourseen garnered votes FASTER than Warrior.

We don't hear from him for 5 days, and by that time, the Fourseen wagon had stalled and other suspects were becoming more relevant.
So he's back and finds fourseen suspicious but thinks his wagon is going to die because it is an early day 1 wagon. Funny thing about this is that the WARRIOR wagon was earlier day 1, and he was afraid it would be a quicklynch! He also finds wazzatron suspicious for some reasoning he never actually said.

Also, when talks of vigging came about, he faded away, and has done nothing but claim his ability. This is guy is who I'm campaigning for tomorrow if we're both around. No one give him an ability of importance. Also I just remembered that he claimed which is why he's on that part of the list, but here's a case for everyone I suppose. I need to look at RC again too.

pedit: then why does anyone play with furc? because they get stuck with him?

These people I will vote.

Vote: Ghostlin

Kdub, I call town when I see it. I told you not to shoot him. I'm not claiming credit here, I just am not sure how this leads to a scum read.

And Magna, if you think calling people town is buddying them, you've got to change your head. Forming a strong block of pro-town players is what damages scum in any game. Mutual town reads are a very strong pro-town force. Also, Are you saying I shouldn't be no longer calling you scum?

As for your question, I initially expressed suspicion of you back in my rather longish post, maybe page 10 or so.
