I don't think I've ever been a vig, except maybe as part of a JOAT.

But I would totally azwolg or policy vig N0 if roflcopter was in the game.

There may be some small part of me which wants this title based on the fucking happy little water droplet in his avatar, but I feel it fits his overall personality and persona on-site as well.

Just stepping in to say that I'm not entirely comfortable with Fuck in a title, I'm not saying I won't approve of this title but I'm somewhat leery.

Let me think about it some more and I'll get back to you.

I don't think gorck's av has ever changed ever. *shrug*

I don't 'think the avatar-based titles are bad as long as it's a recognizable, constant av, which gorck's is. (I've never been a big fan of the 'no avatar-based titles' bit anyway.)

I have a similar feeling on it, quadz. Basically, I feel that...
TheButtonmen wrote:A title should subtly or not-so-subtly reference an amusing incident, playstyle or characteristic that the entire community can understand.
If their avatar never changes, then it qualifies as a characteristic of the nominated person, which (so long as they continue not to change it, which they most likely will since they have not done so yet and have no reason to do so in the future :P) the community can understand, and continue to understand, for years to come. (For instance, other than that one time where I made an avatar bet and we mutually lost, I have never changed my avatar from the Zorbak Grin, nor will I ever do so in the future.)

Butyeah, I'm not the title fairy, so it's Buttonmen's call, I guess.

Yes yes yes panzer changed his avatar, I get it. It's not a perfect system, but then, most people can't tell you what [random scummer]'s title means anyway, soooooo.

Avatar-based titles indecipherable if the user changes their avatar after being titled.

Until then, it's just blunt and obvious.

lose-lose situation.

These are Happy Tears makes a reference to his avatar but isn't ABOUT his avatar. Sure, it makes the joke work a little better, but the overall purpose behind it is still served if he changes his avatar.

This is a dumb reason to go along with it. At least non-avatar based titles can be looked up to find the origin. If an avatar is changed, the title has no more point of origin.

Alright;

A) I quashing the
Happy as Fuck
suggestion.
B) I'm still anti-avatar titles however I'm open to being convinced that the
These are Happy Tears
suggestion is strong enough to work even without considering his current avatar.

It looks like a tear. Anyway, the avatar isn't the basis for the title. The title just happens to play on it.

Gork's avatar is a slime, not a teardrop <.<

I know right? Like it's infuriating but you don't know how to explain it. Like I don't even play Dragon Quest but I know it's not a tear and then I imagine RL gorckat crying slimes...

It really seems like a forced title, like gorckat totes should have a title but it's just not right

Yeah- the tear thing was lost on me at first, and then I saw it was an avvy reference.

I decided to let it sit for a minute because titles are the will of the community, but it really doesn't move me and feels forced.
