I dont think there's a rule saying we have to vote outside the hood however.

We're gonna make a tie in our hood! If there's a tie, the potential town leader gets decided via RNG.
By forcing the leader to be decided via RNG, we're reducing scum's chances of killing the town leader.

that's very good strategy

Yeah so a 4 way tie makes it 25% chance, but for a 4 way tie, no one from the hood should be lynched today.

moment is one of the hood members, right?

Yes.

kind of a double edge sword
if there's scum in the hood and one of the possible elects is scum, they just kill the town player and elect themselves

Maybe.
A
elects
Z
B
elects
Y
C
elects
X
D
elects
Q
C is NK'd.
Leaves
Q
,
Y
, and
Z
to be decided via RNG.
Scum has a 1 out of 3 chance of becoming town leader. Town, obviously, has a 2 out of 3 chances of becoming leader.
Even if we have 2 scum in our hood, they have to publicly vote within our hood. No sleight of hand allowed.
So...
A
elects
Z
B
elects
Y
C
elects
X
D
elects
C
B gets NK'd.
Leaves
Z
,
X
, and
C
in the RNG pool. Scum have a higher chance of winning RNG, but not a complete guarantee.
The problem is if we lynch inside the hood, it could hit town, scum could NK within the hood, making these scenarios happen:
A
elects
Z
. A gets lynched.
B
elects
Y
. B gets NK'd.
1 Scum in Hood =
C
elects
B
.
D
elects
C
.
Result:
50
/
50
chance of either scum or town getting elected.
2 Scum in Hood =
C
elects
X
.
D
elects
C
.
Results:
100% chance of scum getting elected
.

Okay, I'm fine with that plan. Is the person notified if they become leader?

Yes.

I just skimmed but is this removing the possibility of town electing scum? cause that's what it looks like.

Anon did you ask what happens if Scum gets elected? Also can you ask what happens if it ties between a scum and town. IS it still random or does town automatically receive it?

@Tora - Clarify? All I see is the probabilities of scum winning the power if a lynch and/or NK happens to the members of the hood.
@Kokichi - I asked that, but didn't receive a straight answer. I can ask again, this time rewording it differently, see if that clarifies some things.
Ties are decided via RNG, I don't think it defaults to one or the other depending on the alignment, but I can ask to make sure all our bases are covered.

No answer to the 'what happens if scum is elected?' question.
Ties are decided
purely
via RNG. No defaults depending on the electoral candidates' alignments.

What does it say regarding the town leader. Does it specifically say Town Leader or does it say Town will receive a leader?

The first is closer than the second option, but with a 'the' spruced inside.

I'm starting to think anonyghost is town which has me wary of moment but don't have a strong read there, I'm townreading sakura, I doubt our neighborhood of 4 has 2 scum in it and think us getting the power is a good idea
It asys that we vote for someone to become a town leader

I have popopo a sleaning town, you leaning town, rc/tora leaning town, shinori leaning town. Not much of an opinion on the rest

Oh! Now I see what you meant!
No, it does not take into account the chances of the town hoodies voting for scum by accident.

I'm of the opinion that our hood should just majority vote someone and if the town leader dies that's scum playing their hand and revealing themself to be part of our hood
I don't have a heavy scumread on anyone inside of here

859 is only considering the outcomes based on the variables that scum will vote for scum and town votes for town inside the hood. The chances of scum, obviously, become higher if the town hoodies vote for scum on accident. In other, slightly more positive news, we have to publicly vote for our candidates - meaning that scum can't stack two votes against the others.

yeah it really defeats the purpose then
you can't analyse the odds like that

Well do you have any better ideas than scum potentially shooting who we vote for, wasting our shot?
