But if the desperado guesses wrong, then we lose a townie - assuming there’s a town one obviously, who shoots outside the miller pool, and if miller also might kill a townie.
We’re at L-1 now, so I’d rather just have a hammer.

Okay, I see your point.
But there’s also the argument that Drixx NK gave us no info. Had we lynched instead, scum could have conceivably NKed a player with lower town equity.
I think the best reason for desperado to shoot, would be to sort a player unlikely to be wagoned. I think the desp shooting the L-1 player doesn’t really make that much sense to me - especially if there’s only one left and they could conceivably win the game for us - or stop us from losing - in LYLO
Why out the last desp if town, to scum?

If scum tries to pull a fast one and wagons town, a town desp could conceivably prevent this. Not necessarily a loose cannon. I’ve been in games with desps that get opinions first. Just because none on the other 2 desps were loose cannons, we shouldn’t necessarily assume the last one - if there is one and if town - would be that.
My point is that other than alignment checking, there isn’t anything else to be gained by desp shooting the leas wagon and risk being outed.
The last desp - if there even is one, would be most optimally utilizes in a situation like that. I think it’s ill-considered for them to out, only to shoot the lead wagon.
There probably isn’t anymore though. So, this is likely just useless speculation anyway.

Okay, no need to wait for Maria’s reponse to explain this. Wisdom and others, have made it abundantly clear, that Sakura is the next lynch regardless of Tripod flip.
Therefore, Sakura is either town or w/w with Maria.
Why?
By putting Tripod at L-1, she clearly puts herself in harm’s way.
She is either doing this because she IS town or taking a dive for scumpal Maria.
No way, does scum!Sakura vote Tripod here, knowing she’s the probable next lynch.
Maria only has 2 votes on her, so Maria is really in no danger of being flipped, so whatever Maria’s alignment is, I think Sakura’s Tripod vote spews her as town - irrespective of Tripod flip - because if she is scum here, that vote is entirely against her wincon, since there is no reason to link herself with Maria, if Maria is scum here.
Whomever pushes Sakura tomorrow is scumclaiming.

What I’m wondering about is, why Maria thinks that scum wouldn’t want to kill me for being clueless. And why Wisdom isn’t suspicious of that at all. In Hourglass, scum!Maria and scum!Wisdom NKed me for being unlynchaable despite having no clue who was scum at the time of my death.
Who is your POE rn? I’m guessing Tripod, Wisdom and who else?
I think Wisdom is probably town though and wrongly scumreading you but if he backs off of you, he’s probably town, since your Tripod vote makes no sense if your scum here.

Yeah, I guess Nos does seem to be playing to his town meta. Tripod lynch doesn’t necessarily spew Wisdom town, as he hardbussed scum!Chick in Labrynth.
But I’d lynch Marquis first, since he hardpushed Dunn and then Varsoon for his objections to Dunn wagon. Also, in Hourglass, Marquis - to me was blatantly obvtown - both by play and by Spiffeh being obvtown. I would have done everything possible to stop his lynch, if I hadn’t have been NKed.
Anyone who is townreading Marquis, should ISO him in Hourglass. He was completely different in that game and he never hardpushed anyone like he did Dunn iirc.
Wisdom’s reponse to Marquis shade, didn’t thrill me either. Why does town!Wisdom pretty much shrug off Marquis shade and still townread him in spite of that and I had to hardpress him to even respond to that question.
Marquis never answering my questions about his Wisdom shade, is especially concerning.
Marquis should be the next lynch regardless. I see no reason to townread that slot.

As I said, I 100% doubt FG would include a godfather type of role again without there being some kind of hint to it's existance in some form (Like how he hinted Millers' existance in sample role PM and i assume desperados PMs too)

You're pretty easy to control. If I knew more about you before hourglass I would've never nk'd you and just made sure you follow the path I wanted you too. So I'm not shocked at all at you being alive that's the bad part. If I thought you weren't easy to control you being alive would be ??? but I can understand why scum would keep you alive. You're obv alive if you're scum too so it's just a ?
