This is probably a little unfair to some people who found themselves playing a format/ruleset that they were very unfamiliar with.

Hopefully everyone who enjoyed this game signs up for another. Definitely want to encourage anyone who has questions about this game/site/meta/ect to ask them here.

i was thinking about making this post for a bit but was kinda worried about being rude or insensitive but oh well

why are you giving a tierlist?

i get like telling people "woohoo you did good!"or "oh you could work on [thing]" but like an outright tierlist without like any feedback, especially as the d1 lynch is just... akward/weird imo

i dont really know how to put this well but like you can still give advice and suggestions but like this is ehhhhhh

why are you giving a tierlist?
Because i felt like making one.
Mr Oobsy did a terrible play with the whole "hammer a innocent townie and bring unnecessary attention upon your power role slot" thing.
Mr Dyrenz cracked under nonexisting pressure and revealed his own power role when he barely had any votes on him.
Chemist was completely cataconic and had the energy of a sloth when it came to defending himself.
Leucosticte did good on day 1, but then he messed up and didn’t strategize properly, becoming a day 3 lynch when he easily could have redirected attention towards Micc rather than attacking the most townread of all Farren.
Everyone else did ok. Farren did excellent.

Just keep in mind that games in this queue are played for the purpose of learning, not judging skill level. "I think this person could have done this better" is a lot more productive towards that goal than "X is a skillful player and Y isn't". Players come from a wide range of different mafia backgrounds and experiences, and often enough the skills that are valuable in one setting aren't valuable or are even a hindrance in another setting.

The rankings are for this game only. Sometimes you have a bad game, sometimes an excellent game. Maybe i should have made it more clear that these criticisms and praise are intended for this game only. I’m sure many of the people i gave low rankings will highly improve and become excellent mafia players in the future.

Maybe i’m being overly critical and serious for a game that’s supposed to be "newbie friendly" but that’s just me prepping them for the brutal world of mafia. :) You’ve got to grow a thick skin and learn to handle the assaults upon your character that happens inbetween the friendships and good times you can have in this game. Anyway i probably won’t ever join a newbie game again so don’t worry about it. I won’t hurt the precious newbies anymore. ;)

The concern is that newbies decide to never play a game again as an alternative to improving and becoming excellent mafia players.

Marketing mafia as a game where "you've got to grow a thick skin" is awful for new player retention and not in line with how we want mafia to be played on this site. We can strive to be more welcoming than that.
