Wouldn't the most natural scum response to be relieved and the most natural town response to be suspicious?
(Not the only response, of course, but in my experience scum are generally happy to get townread even when it's not deserved, whereas I as town in that situation might be concerned that Titus was fabricating reads.)

I'm liking Thor, Titus, the worst, and H+H as town, off the top of my head.
I don't see Titus trying to talk me down off Gamma as scum. It would be easier and completely justifiable to just jump on my wagon on policy.
I like H+H's efforting. His push on me does not feel like it's loaded with an agenda.
the worst is my shakiest townread, but i wouldn't vote there today at any rate.

Scum often question empty townreads. It gives them more credibility, and if the other player provides reasons after their question, it bolsters the read for others to sheep.
I've done it many times, and seen it done many times.
with 14 votes in play, it takes 8 to make a decision. day 1 ends in (expired on 2021-09-03 17:20:00).

Town have the habit of refreshing and checking the thread at a rate far more frequent than scum. This is because the interest for solving the game can often be far higher than scum's desire to lie. Some scum can also be scared of opinions of their posts after they post, and may even close the thread entirely for some time, while town will eagerly refresh the page to hear opinions on what they've just posted.
I've been rereading the thread and I had an idea. There's a phenomenon on this site known as page topping, often conjoined to one word as such; PageTopping.
This phenomenon results in players wanting to score the top post of new pages. The top post of each page are divisible by 25, so post 500 would be a PageTop, and so would post 975.
Now, the interesting thing about these PageTops are that you can only perform them if you are present on the page and see the opportunity for one arise. To be present on the page, you must have refreshed it recently.
See where I'm going with this? In addition to town being more able to efficiently perform PageTops, they are also just more active on average, and will naturally land more PageTops over time. This results in town scoring far more PageTops on average than scum.
Here's the data:

Fwiw I intentionally avoid pagetops because they lose the context of the post

Stop undermining my townread of you, Thor.
Activity is not necessarily alignment indicative, it's also playstyle and/or circumstance indicative.
That's trash logic.

Thor is smartest person in this game.

In other news, Thor has proven that the mod is town, so that's nice i guess.
I'm less than clueless about setup spec in this game.
Activity theorizing, however, I'm very familiar with. I'm a spammy motherfucker as either alignment and have always been that way, so it's something i see a lot of discussion about.

Sim doesn't have motive to contribute to the game, but they have motive to APPEAR to contribute to the game.
Not that one post flips my read of him, it's just disappointing.
