Very true. Zaicon you are scarily prompt with vote counts and replacements. Nicely done. My only complaint would be to say that you could have shortened that last Night a bit.. with no Mafia discussion, it's not strictly necessary to go a full 72h. Enough to get all choices and cover any V/LA probably would have sufficed. In post 873, JerryArr wrote:Zaicon was a quality mod, as well
Also thanks for the compliments... I try to be the sort of IC newbies want to be like, rather than the sort they avoid. Having been Newbie Game List Mod for several years probably helps.Retired as of October 2014.- Fear the poster

What I don't understand about players on this site is how none of you had a list like this in day one. There was no way that the players not on this list were scum, better players than me probably could have eliminated lorkatu from this list as well due to his disregard of the game which is rare to see in a scum player because that player has a partner relying on them.In post 209, Fear the poster wrote:I'm watching my stories right now and I'd like to hear morefrom Flay, jerr, quite and Lork before I come back. Those are the four players I am interested in lynching/think might be scum.
I strongly oppose a lynch outside of those players. Except for Jon. I only weakly oppose a lynch on him.
Everyone: I'd like your comments on the above players and which you think we should lynch, which you think we should not consider and which are stupid.
So far what I see in Games like this is that my style and reads are superior to the way the game is played here. How could anyone read RMP as scum? I laid out the reasoning for her being town and it was sooooo obvious. I get that not everyone has devoted as much time to this game as I have over the years but when it is explained to you by another player being good enough to understand is as important as being good enough to figure it out, this town failed at both.
As far as I could tell town refused to find scum and mostly butted heads throughout this game, RMP and XL were a very obvious example of this during day one, as I said their TvT bored me but it unfortunately distracted themselves and other members of town from the real issues (scum) and made the town pay attention to the yelling of dumbasses. As always when you lose your cool you should look at the authenticity of the anger in the person you are yelling with, only the best scum players can replicate the authentic anger of a townie yelling at another townie. Authenticity of emotions should have made both RMP and XL take a step back and realize that their sparring partner was town.
Scum did surprisingly well though I attribute that more to town ripping itself apart than scum leading town. Neither scum member was ever in the position to lead a lynch and that led to the sad whimpering end of this game in a self lynch. Both scum players appeared scummy during day one and stayed scummy later in the game the hypotheticals and absolute lack of scum hunting rang very false to me(though it seems I was the only one as others tried to tell me they found the hypotheticals useful) and should have resulted in a day one lynch.
I had a good time for the first part of day one and would have liked to keep playing with you all, as always comments on my play are welcome.- kuribo

Fear:
Thing about correctly reading anger is that it's a very hard skill to learn
I myself think I'm one of the best judges of anger on the site, and even I get fooled sometimes. Benmage for example managed to fool me in a game a few months back, when we had spent weeks screaming at one another.
Yelling at people is a phenomenal tool in the right hands- Fear the poster

Hi Fear. I hope real life is calmed down a bit and that we get to play in another game sometime. I enjoyed /buddy status with you Day 1. Can't remember specifics about your play enough to comment on really, though I liked your initiative. I was surprised every Day when your slot hadn't died the previous Night.
And thank you for the criticism, I am taking it to heart as I think I was kind of lackluster here. One thing though - high expectations are good, but there's no need to condescend. Most of us are still newbies, myself included.- Fear the poster

Sorry, my tone is rather abrasive, I like to think it works well in game but out of game I'm still as abrasive.
Real life has calmed down, the people trying to get me deported left town after a final failed attempt on my freedom (I'd call it a funny story if it didn't fuck up my life)
I really enjoyed playing with you pit, of all the players in the game you are the one who made the most positive impression on me in this game up to and including the IC. Your description of the lost feeling of a first time townie who had played scum previously was highly accurate and too authentic to be from scum, mentality meta and mindset. It's all you need to know to find mafia.- pitoli

Incorrect, scum unplug all the time, especially when they come under fire D1.In post 877, Fear the poster wrote:better players than me probably could have eliminated lorkatu from this list as well due to his disregard of the game which is rare to see in a scum player
Also, well done. You named half the game and "cornered" scum. Anybody can do that a couple of times. Your abrasiveness and condescension will lead to people not listening to you, even when you are right.Retired as of October 2014.- Fear the poster

Sorry did you have more than half the game as confirmed town part way through day one? I do that every time. You are right that people won't listen to me when I'm abrasive, however I find that people respond to it well (that is in a way i can read)in the early game and later they respond well to the fact that I'm right. Which I am.
And I disagree, lorkatu's way of tuning out of the game was indicative of a townie mindset. I over generalized above but lork was quite readable in day one and even more readable by day two.
It isn't at all too bad pit, you can just be a townie little townie and make sure that everything you say and do benefits town. Be town as town can be and you won't need someone to read you on your feelings.- pitoli
