And Chip, my name is duppin not duppen. I asked you if you wanted me to go over your points by the way, so if you'd like me to then tell.
You questioned my townread on you, but it mainly comes from the game you linked. I thought your attitude this game was super weird, I honestly couldn't tell whether you were trolling or not at first, but you gave off the same vibe in the game you linked. The only notable difference is you seem more confident in this game, but I assume that mainly has to do with the other one being on of your first games (?) seeing as it is your only finished one and I certainly do not think confidence is a scum tell at all.
Unfortunately I haven't seen a scum game from you, which might be an issue of course but I feel better about your play now than I initially did, which is why I have you as leaning town.

I'm on mobile so I'm not properly responding to the ranger and kuroi posts though I have issues with both, and especially with what ranger excluded from my posts when she MQ responded to me.
Ranger- can we talk your read on florestan real quick?

And who are these mysterious harder scum reads, if you're willing to vote Ranger? Is it just Chip...?

Hmm, maybe, juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust maaaaaaaaaybe, there's a reason for that.
It doesn't matter anyway she's slipped off of suspecting Kuroi.
Wrong. If any of my scumreads are wrong, and yes, contrary to popular belief, I can be wrong and recognize this fact (do I have to preach literally every single game my fundamental belief that "I always expect to be wrong, but would make no progress if I
assumed
I was wrong"?), then Kuroi's my top pick for being scum.
But until I see evidence to the contrary, until I see anything, literally anything, that would change my scumreads whatsoever, I am going to continue to assume I am right, because that's what the evidence says. You three have posted a ton of content. All of it has either not been alignment-indicative changing nothing, or has strengthened the scumread.
I believe I can bring her to L-1 by tonight (assuming everyone doesn't just lurk it out)
And I continue to say good luck, because it aint happening. Not today, and unless you nightkill/lynch players who're supporting me, not ever. And maybe not even then.
Chip Butty wrote:She seemed so much more...verbose...than usual, and more defensive than I have seen her, too, I think.
These are linked together, and both have the same root cause: being engaged in the game, rather than just slipping by into the background.
I could have done that, you know.
Prior to getting engaged, I had no votes. People had suspicions on me, but none of them actually followed through with a vote.
It wasn't until after I deliberately let myself be in the spotlight that I earned votes. But I don't fear the spotlight. Gladly, bring it on. So that's why I'm talking more.
This was a deliberate choice, because I have had a lot of games recently where I
wasn't
engaged. Among them, having just ended?
This one. Look how many times we got prodded there. Look at how much of the content there is RC, rather than me. I made the decision not to let that apathy happen again.

You implied you had "better scumreads" than Ranger. So voting Ranger withoug pushing anyone else sure would be weird!
But then you quickly change to "What makes you think I'm not willing to vote Ranger?"
And then you're getting prepared to vote Ranger in your next line
It doesn't look like natural thoughts, it looks like poorly done scum distancing/bussing

Still quite suspicious of Ranger, especially not too fond of her interactions with Panther. Panther has had a great entrance by the way.
My main issue with Ranger though is simply her reads are too different from mine and I can't really follow her reasoning for it.
As for Kuroi, wasn't a fan of the slot before mainly due to Alpaca not doing anything and not taking a stance. Kuroi's entrance hasn't really changed my read of the slot. Just like Ranger I have a really difficult time understanding where they're coming from.
I find both of them suspicious. Their interactions are honestly a bit weird as well. Can't help but feel they could be distancing, but meh.
@Kuroi, well I'm here now. Thoughts on my slot?

Continuously linking to other games and referencing self-meta should just be a policy lynch. You're scummy in this game.

There is a world of difference between "I was wrong before so I changed my vote" to "It's impossible for Kuroi to be scum" and "OMGZ HE'S SCUM!"

I do, unless the reread changes my mind. But like I said, I had questions, and I'm not liking Ranger's responses.
So here.
VOTE: Ranger
And I didn't like your post over here. It sounds forced and it reeks of you twisting my word to fit the mold of your bias.
I'm about to leave for the night. If I respond, it won't be much and most likely mobile posting.

I mean if we're referencing meta Yeah I post a lot and I post a lot as town.
I bet I'd post a lot as scum, too.
I know Panther posts a lot as well
No clue on Ploben but posting a lot doesn't AT ALL correlate with being scummy. In fact, more often than not it's the ones who post less who are scum!
Of course that's just a statistical thing and I've got nothing to back that up ^

You seem to share a scum read on Kuroi as a handful of us do. Would you consider voting that wagon instead of mine
If the choices were Kuroi-or-nolynch, I'd lynch Kuroi.
If the choices were Kuroi or a townread, I'd lynch Kuroi.
If the choices were Kuroi or me, I'd lynch Kuroi.
Otherwise, no. I would not lynch kuroi, not while there is a viable, and already existing, wagon on a strong scumread.
Kuroi wrote:I feel that she forges her meta by using different play styles each game
I'm like RadiantCowbells lite: I play each game as comes naturally to me.
There may be trends in my town games, I certainly think so.
There may be trends in my scum games, I certainly haven't found any aside from possible lack of town trends.
But mostly I play whatever I feel like I should be playing.
This game, I felt I should be playing more actively, and that sitting in the background would get me disengaged from the game.
I'm sure you just flipped me upside down, Ranger. Didn't you just say it was impossible for me to be scum?
*ahem*
Ranger wrote:The reason for this is simple: I'm not scumreading the other players. (Save Scott, who is nullscum.) The other players were also not relevant to the current discussion, whereas you were. And
you are a scumread
. I just
don't think you're actually scum, because
there can be only three scum
. If I was
wrong on any of my core three
, I'd immediately be
looking into their interactions with you and vice-versa to see if you fit as a scumbuddy
.
^So, basically, my read is that you're town because there can only be three scum, and my scumread on those three is much, MUCH stronger than my scumread on you. However, that does not change the existence OF a scumread on you.

I don't see what's important about it, but I also don't see any reason why not to, so sure. We can talk about Florestan.
duppin wrote:Ranger, imagine if ploben is town for a moment, do you think scum would be on his wagon?
Probably not.
I'd have to check who did and didn't vote ploben to get a firm opinion. ploben is not a lynch I see scum going for. If ploben is scum, the reason is obvious. If ploben is town, the reason is to avoid being caught on an easy mislynch.
