My previous post only regards the first part of Odd's read, the bottom part IDK. Saying "
I'm voting you to add additional pressure
" doesnt seem exactly scummy to me, but I do aggree it's an easy way to hop on a wagon.

You're not bothering to sort the votes

Wait, my whole response to that quote got lost. The hell?

I basically said that I don't think this is something where tojam necessarily knew exactly what sad was doing. It wasn't coordinated. Just two people who know that the other is scum interacting. That's why I thought that the fact that tojam bothered to defend himself was odd, as if there was something fundamentally different about that particular vote.

@ODD:

It doesn't have to be pre talked about though. I'm scum, and my scum buddy votes me. Clearly he is distancing the slots. No words need to pass. From there either I could ignore it and move on, or fight it in order to create more distance. In this instance (since he says what Sad did was scummy to him) one would think he would vote to maximize the distancing, no?

I'm not saying your wrong, and I totally get where you coming from, but I'm skeptical.

@Aubrey: I think tojam wouldn't get the distancing

This does raise a good question, why in the hell is Toe not voting anybody?

@ODD:

Eh. Kinda pointless to debate this until one of them flip I suppose.

Thinking Transcend and Tojam buddies for the voting patterns of tojam

The only thing that i think you all are missing is this: You worked out that he should have counter voted Sad BUT if he did then you would have caught on easier as i think you and Odd are smart and would have pointed the obvious scum to scum interaction between them. By not voting and just moving on, Tojam did the smart thing. He didnt draw attention to Sad and later when everyone has a FOS on Sad, he can just say "remember when i voted scum? Why would i vote him and give the lynch that extra vote it needed if i was scum?"

Okay I'm wrong Oddmusic is prob the most obvtown

But still
Okay, since I was the one who called you random I just have to respond. Your reads are all over the place. You push someone for a bit, often for stupid reasons, declare them as obviously scum, then arbitrarily decide that they're town. And I think I'm the only one who ever called you random, so it's not people, and you can stop feeling so persecuted, I'm not going to lynch you today either way.
Are you saying you townread Transcend? What makes you feel that way?

So my vote was the reason for controversy...
It was more than just a pressure vote. Nothing is so simple as pressure. I never felt compelled to state the reason behind my vote, but I guess I should do now. Just like my last vote, which was also on Tojam for inactivity, this vote is to fish for reactions. What will he do if he's scum? He'll likely make a case out of my vote (or at least thats how it works to me). If he is town he may note it down as scummy but the reaction would be milder-just like the way he reacted to my vote.
That still doesn't mean I'm retracing my vote (now this is probably my fault since I honestly don't know what to do if I retract my vote)
And I have to say I managed quite a good job making people react. But the one who reacted to it the way I thought scum would was oddmusic. But then given his previous posts wasa really towny I'm not so sure... He's still town right now

@oddmusic, you can check my past games (I think it was a newbie pre-1700) where there were 5 pages of chat about pressure votes. That's why I have a strong opinion on this.
