If they're town, they're both playing deliberately against their wincon by pretending to be scum. Further, if Carl is town, he "confirmed" FF and Ico as town by referencing wanting to mislynch them: two players whose alignments he doesn't know if he's town with them.

This does not clear Iconeum/FF/Serene; it could potentially be a (very stupid) gambit. He could also conceivably have a mason read on Icon or something similar, so it is not technically gamethrowing for town!Carl, only moronic. (Still, shots should be directed away from those three tonight.)

I would have thought it was a joke but his complete lack of defence and self vote say otherwise, if he’s actually scum that’s hilarious.
