Upon signing up, you will send me Four roles from the Grand Idea thread, posted by Ircher, the thread's #1 contributor: two town, one mafia/werewolf (either alignment is fine), and one of any alignment (town, mafia, werewolf, alien, third party, etc.). The roles should be selected from those that existed before the game entered signups (as of now, Ircher has 999 posts in-thread). Roles that allow the moderator to choose the alignment are also allowed for any of the three roles. You must link to the post when submitting your roles; please don't just send me the name of the role. I also reserve the right to veto any role for being overpowered, toxic, otherwise unsuitable for the game, or at my own discretion. I will randomize a list containing all of these roles on flap.tv using the randomize option. The first 13 roles will be used as the setup, with a sole caveat that it will will be required to have at minimum 7 town roles and less than 12. (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 town will all be approved). Once a viable setup is generated, the playerlsit will be randomized on the same website, then a 1 to 1 comparison of the role list and player list will assign roles. Balance is explicitly not guaranteed.
Yes, but requirements be that they are only established hydrae with 2+ completed games and receive explicit approval by me. no more than 2 total hydrae allowed.

Wisdom of the Mod. Due to site meta I will be implementing some combination of activity rules. Some examples of these would include experimental activity and deadline, Geriatric Ruleset, etc. (These rules are not finalized yet and I will publicize them on my wiki before the game enters signups.)

I've done some pretty fun grand-idea themed games before. did a good fruit vendor one that got a lot of good feedback. Thinking about designing a large theme with a handpicked role list from grand idea in the same type of specific content type.
iirc one or two of the first grand ideas I ran were BBmolla posts only back when he was still #1 contributor a few years back

How would I mod a mafia variant? I don't fit the requirements but I hae modded this variant 10+ times on another site.
Is it possible your game has any of the following bastard roles or mechanics?
cults, mid-game alignment changes, moderator lies that cannot be reasonably anticipated (for example, Godfather, Tailor, Miller, Ninja, and mechanics like that are generally fine. Telling someone they are a reflexive doctor when they're actually a PGO is not), secret win conditions, un-divulged non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, direct moderator influence during the game

Setup:
Twelve player open theme
Five mafia goons vs. seven VTs
If the town successfully eliminates a mafia goon on a particular day, then the mafia team kills a vanilla townie that night. However, if the town eliminates incorrectly, then the mafia team has to sacrifice one of their own that night.
Town wins if they eliminate three mafia goons before they mis-eliminate three times.
Mafia wins if they can coordinate a mis-elimination three times before three of their own members are eliminated.
Essentially it is a match for three out of five.
