Pine replaces Espeonage, effective immediately.

Hey folks. I'm happy to replace in and HOLY CRAP THERE'S A WAGON ON ME ALREADY.
No Pine-love
Simple request: Cut me a little bit of slack over the next day or two. This is the second game I've replaced into in the last week, and I've got catch-up to do. Considering my Town role PM, my predecessor must've fucked up royally or gotten the "Lynch the Lurker" treatment. I have a completely free day tomorrow, and I'll rectify both.

He insisted saying he could tell the difference between town VI and scum VI. When we called this scummy, he lurked til day was over. He also failed to make a case about someone else, and he started the game by proposing a massnameclaim on day1.
This is a relatively convincing case.
Xtoxm wrote:This Espeonage wagon has grown far too quickly. I looked into him over the night phase, and i'm pretty sure he's town.
Well then.
Who do you think is scum again? I can't remember since you don't ever freaking say anything.
You replaced out. *sigh*

Eeeugh. Don't
think
you want to use it? What makes you doubt
yourself
on whether you want to vote or not?
I loled. Whats with you trying to find scummy things in things that aren't scummy?
Thil's vote is bad. No question. I am unsure whether it is noob town bad, or scum bad. As said before, I had more of a town read on thil, but I'm not sure. I'll leave him null for now.
Ythan/esurio was pointless.

This is accurate. I'm glad we are getting a dana wagon.

Hey sorry I haven't been posting much, I'll get back in the game when my school work frees up. I welcome Pine's appearance but I'm going to keep my vote where it is for now.

Sound familiar, anyone?

Again, just a very innocent act about his stance on Leouch. "Maybe I'm wrong..." "I've accidentally been wrong before..." "it may be a coincidence...". Feels manipulative in the sense that mb53 is giving a heaping dose of uncertainty. Compare this to his
post 174. This post is more rational and less full of doubt.

Since when is not being certain on something a scum tell? Town isn't allowed to not be positive on their position on something?

Well, I said that esurio would be a little scummier, but it wouldn't make me think anything different about you. You'd still be trollan.
Now that Esp is replacing out....LYNCH IT WITH FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd rather wagon you than lynch pine. You're only calling me a troll because I'm pointing out how scummy you are. Deflect some more, though because it's really helping your cause.

This post?
I read it already and I somewhat disagree.
Pine can always be lynched after he and I are completely caught up.
hohum wrote:Ythan: with two weeks to deadline do we have anything to gain by speedlynching Espe's replacement?
How is lynching espe immediately going to further the scum hunting process?

Es no longer being in the slot secerely impacts the sots' ability to reconcile the issues etc.

Ythan wrote:Es no longer being in the slot secerely impacts the sots' ability to reconcile the issues etc.
I understand that this is how you feel.
It isn't the Espe lynch I have a problem with. It's the immediacy of it.
With two full weeks to go until deadline, is there an advantage to putting an immediate end to any more dialog for the day?
With the understanding that Pine can't do much to save himself do you think that any contributions (especially reads on others) from his player slots should be excluded? If so, why?

@Mod
: prods plz?
hohum, I understand the desire to want to get as much out of this (and any) Day as possible; however, do you think we'll need the full two weeks?
I don't think I fully follow the danakills wagon.

I'm not saying Lynch him immediately. I'm saying that's where I want the lynch now.

Probably not. It's hard to say. A lot can happen in that time frame.
chkflip wrote:I don't think I fully follow the danakills wagon.
Well we can start with the hard-nosed stance about A) my esurio vote and B) lynching espe at all costs. The GET ON BOARD OR YOU'RE NEXT attitude certainly isn't good town play.
Attention to detail is another problem. If he wants to skim the thread he should at least be open to other options. You can't build a good case if you're going to skim the thread.

I was
hoping
someone would immediately vote for me based on being a replacement.
In my book, this is a
huge
scumtell. Granted, I haven't read past the first two pages, so I have no idea what went down, but replacements often provide increased clarity, new viewpoints, and will often catch things that were missed the first time around. Anti-replacement behavior is extraordinarily anti-Town.
That said, I'm going to hold my vote until I've actually read through; voting without all the information in front of me would make me a hypocrite.

Your many months of experience tells you this?
Do you believe that a VT is a town role that can be sacrificed? Please explain your rationale.

Still haven't gotten past the RVS of this game, my day turned out to be busier than expected.
@hohum: I don't appreciate the wholesale attempt to discredit me before I'm capable of getting solid content down. It's very poor play, regardless of your alignment and mine. I will, however, respond to your question.
Yes, my seven years of playing this game have told me this.
The sacrificial VT is a play that has situational merit. If it manages to break open the whole game, and give you the information required to take one or two mafiosos down with them, it's a fair trade, outside of LyLo or similar circumstances. However, as I am not yet privy to the
context
of your question, it is an entirely loaded question, wouldn't you agree? I'd call you scummy for this and this alone, but my research of you suggests that you are generally arrogant and abrasive, and therefore I will consider it, in isolation, a null tell.

I'm not trying to discredit you. I'm not even asking questions that require any sort of context.

I'm trying to decide if you know enough about the mechanics of this game to trust your reads when (not if) you flip.
You ARE the sacrificial VT here. As ythan pointed out your player slot serves no other useful purpose at this point.
You may continue with your reads, sir.
