at what point is it okay to take your junglers wraiths? (obv I know to ask him first instead of being a dick and just taking them)

morg tip numero uno is to have an hourglass by the time you start teamfighting so you can ult relatively safely in the middle of the enemy team.
also don't get cocky against anything with enough burst to break through your shield at lower levels. <_<
morg is great against anything that pushes poorly and poor against AD and super bursty things because she wants to either have a quiet farming lane or farm and then roam, as mentioned. I've fought a few talons as morg. Even if I win my lane, it's a pain in the ass.

I rather them just disable NEW champions the first two week sthey are out. F2P? Not so much. Over the course of playing this game I've gotten decent with champions I don't own (Renekton, generic AD carries aka Ashe, etc.) and it also makes swapping a lot more viable. "Do you own vlad? Well yea hes freek this week so I can trade him"
Ah well no more takin free week singed top in ranked and trolololing

I dislike this policy. Really hinders play for those early ranked games. Doesn't really affect me, but it's still annoying

I really agree with this.

Turns out DotA is kind of a big thing.

This is awesome. Given that LoL is bigger than Starcraft right now, DotA2 being huge is an awesome thing for the genre.

or kinda sad, depending on if you actually think dota2 is a better made game then CS Source and Skyrim or not.

In regards to skyrim it's most likely due to Dota 2 having a bit more of a replayability value just because of how the genre itself works.
That's my theory anyway.
Also Skyrim has died down in popularity since release obvs.

This is a surprise?
DotA is huge and it's just a WC3 map.

DotA2 having more than Skyrim is pretty simple to me: Skyrim costs $60, DotA2 beta costs nothing. Even once DotA2 launches, it'll still be a better deal than Skyrim, since it's got infinite replayability.

I agree with disabling the new champ and free week champs in ranked. Honestly, people should not be trying a champ for the first time there. This may not be the case for everyone, but it is for a lot of people. I feel the good outweighs the bad here.

It just seems restrictive to me. Not a lot of people try a champ for the first time there, but a lot of people don't want to spend a ton of money or time to own all the champs. Free week is often the only time people'll play them.

You know what would be restrictive? If you had to play a game for years just to unlock all the content or spend money to unlock it.
Just saying. I'm still bitter about their stupid successful business model.

There's no reason to restrict it; I agree with Fate.

I don't like people trying free-weeks in normal games for the first time let alone ranked. Maybe I'm just bitter about it due to terrible experiences. =P
@BB: Most MMORPG business models are way worse, but you are pretty much correct. I can understand charging for aesthetic things like skins... but it shouldn't take so much effort to own every champion. :/

I agree that they shouldn't play free weeks for the first time in normals but especially in ranked. I just don't think the people that DON'T use it in this dumb way should be punished for the people that do.

You have not seen a terrible business model until you've played S4 League. So don't even say it.

I'm pretty sure it's not actually possible to get to level 30 without earning enough IP along the way for all the 450 champs, so that's 9 champs right there. It shouldn't take very long at all to get enough IP for some 1350 champs, especially since you probably picked up enough to buy a few along with the 450 champs on the way to level 30.
TL:DR - If you're not an idiot and you buy the cheap champs it's easy as shit to get enough champs to play ranked. Want to play ranked? Buy the fucking cheap champions to pad out your selection.

I count Vayne, Galio and Leona as three of my better champs. And I don't own them, I use them when they are free. They are expensive and if they are free you should still be able to use them.

This would be fine and all if half the fuckin champs didn't cost 6300ip.
