Where did I switch stories? I enjoy the PR that Cappy claimed to have and it breaks up the monotone of the game. I dont hard scumread them and I have more scumreads then just them (At the time was Latis but was cleared up since i can obviously read sigs) so i didnt mind leaving them be at the time to help keep the monotone broke up and it was adding to the discussion.

I'm glad the Spiffybringer wagon is rolling. I find it hard to believe that the best push town!Spiff comes up with here is Smol Might, basically a troll slot.

seems like they're trying too hard to seem carefree, and their only "meaningful" content so far is their commentary around Hectic's potential posting restriction which is a pretty unhelpful thing to talk about.

Out of everything to break the trollyness with, I think that the Hectic post restriction is a safe place for scum to act like they're contributing without actually saying anything.

In contrast, I feel that Flavortown's progression from troll posts to game content is a lot better. Nothing ground breaking, but actual opinions on players that they can be held accountable for rather than post restriction speculation.

WRT smol, my read on there is still weak but i think i can safely say that both hydra heads do not have a particularly strong scumgame, or at least i have been reading them accurately in all games we played recently, and i think they are town here. Refer to waifu upick and my normal with alisae/saudade/etc to see what i mean

-Farkran is noticeably different than Undertale and I'm inclined to townlean here. I don't put a lot of stock in his insistence that his attitude is NAI. Undertale he noticeably asked questions with a goal of mostly either persuading someone else or hoping to find a weakness to exploit. There's a lot more generosity with his approach here. The circumstances are different but this is solid.

Yes. #711 and #777 tell me you learned the wrong lessons from Undertale. Farkran's style is exactly nitpicking, asking a lot of questions, and generally trying to push people into uncomfortable places to see what happens. His problem as scum is that he works backwards based off of what he wants to do strategically with the answers, rather than genuinely reading into the answers and adjusting his read accordingly.

This approach is believable but I'm doubtful. Trying to put it into words is generally the best approach. This feels like an overreaction to Farkran's play from Undertale, and while I haven't read his town games recently, I do fortunately remember making a post highlighting that his style was very similar, but was more generous and clearly investigative. #818 was exactly the explanation I expected from Farktown here.

He also absolutely adjusts his scumgame after Undertale. The fact that he has kept a lot of the same stylistic choice of play tells me it is probably not very NAI. I'd say it's a townlean but I have a hard time believing that I won't be able to hardlock this slot a hundred posts down the line. There's only so much adjustment one can make in a single game.

I don't think so, but most of my games were ~2 years back. The only players I remember here are Hectic, Nacho, Farkran, Chemist, Gamma, and to a lesser extent Tammy.

Feeling a lot better about Latias/Latios. I probably shouldn't feel as strongly about this as I should, but the I really don't think scum makes the posts below. They wouldn't want bring unnecessary attention that they were camping the thread for the event to start, and the sentiment just seemed really genuine to me?

Camping out for the events is one of the few things that have both town/scum intent. This isn't a good indicator imo.

The fact Chemist is actually trying to give reads is a good sign, I can't tell with Gamma so far.

You're claiming to be extremely wary of Farkran's scumgame but giving him very little credit for his depth. This insistence that he has this one way of attacking as scum that he doesn't do as town and sticks to it even after Undertale is really simplistic and factually untrue. Undertale he felt extremely threatened early on and rushed into a bad push against the person he knew wouldn't townread him. Here he's asking a ton of questions and following them when he needs to but there's no reason to think he's looking to just powershove a bad lynch through.

I get that this is a joke but this is extremely bizarre. I spent all of the game trying to get you active and involved, trying out literally 4/5 different ways of handling you to see if I could find one that worked. You were a primadonna and showed open disdain for me and my play the entire game. I went into this game planning to not engage with you at all unless I either had a scumread on you or absolutely had to.

I'm really sorry but I still don't get it. I get that this is how you are as town too, and I do find it funny, but I've also spent ~15 minutes on this and it's been frustrating. Can you generally be a bit more explicit for me when it comes to the explanation? My best guess is that you didn't like their joking, but then you remembered you liked John Cena's jokes.

So this is my first non-IC newbie game. Welcome everyone, and JC especially from our history. I had a custom of posing some introductory questions to get the game started:

I have issues with this post but ill answer anyways and then give my thoughts on it.

1. Years of experience, to the point where ive been almost selected for Champs at MU more then once.
2 & 3 Have Chemist answer this for me. He knows how I play. Me giving any answer would make it wifom while having him answer for me would tie us together, and it would help me read him based off his answer on me.
4. I think chems answer to the above would help answer this more then anything i could give honestly

the issues i have with this is that no matter what alignment you have, your going to try to make it seem like your town from these answers, even if its nt 100% true. Theyre just not good questions.
