Hey new guy- what’s your experience level with the game?

I played 2 larger games on a minecraft forum about 6 years back. One I was lynched midgame as cult leader, and another lynched as jester. I've played town of salem off and on for about 6 years; my guess is most newbies probably come from there.
Waiting until I catch up to vote anyone, but for now what my thoughts are, given new players, and what I'm looking for:
-VT's would either be disinterested and bored, and participate very little, or push other players hard since they have less to lose if targeted.
-Mafia would participate in the discussion somewhat, or be rather active at least a little bit; maybe not leading entirely since that would be suspicious if they stayed alive that long. I don't think they would lurk or post a lot; they'd probably wanna meet somewhere in the middle.
-Townies with night actions / special abilities, if I were one, would probably lurk pretty hard to avoid attention and not get targeted by the mafia.

From first 15 pages:
NS - scum - participates actively without leading totally, agree with what they say
IV - town, VT - self hammering feels like a VT move in a game without jest, very brazen
Nash - myself
andre - scum: strikes me as more inexperienced but heavy lurks. could be wrong since he might have just been away and posted a good amount later on
the bulge - town PR, trying to lay low seemingly. If I were maf i'd kill him n1
bella - idk yet
walter - idk yet
clarity - idk yet
our - idk yet

Your description of mafia / VT / PR is pretty much on spot. I feel like it's copied from the wiki or something.

Sorry, I think you replaced into a scum slot.

Your mistake:
Writing out a criteria to follow when reading players because you're, without a criteria, lost because you're scum. :(

Wagon him. Imo.

You’re scumreading me because I’m active but not leading and you agree with me?

Can you explain this Bell? I don't really understand the problem with writing a criteria. Could you phrase it better or something?

Imagine you're mafia.
How do you hunt for scum when you know who the scum are?
By making a list of things you'd find scummy and then applying it to the playerlist. This way you can fake a perspective of scum hunting.

This is one way to fake a town perspective when you don't have one.

Well, town can do that too. I use a lot of scumtells from the wiki. But i do agree that this way of scumhunting is easily faked.

Yes, but do you tell everyone what your scum tells are before you start scum hunting?

I could be wrong, but I actually don't think I am.

I do not. I see what point you are making.

I don't think much yet, still haven't reread Nash. I think Bell is jumping the gun a little, although i think i see what he's doing unless he's not

obviously the open q isn't working, interested in hearing a pov from BELL and BELLA specifically

Well, tbf, I wasn't feeling it when he changed course yesterday at E-1. I think I just always get cold feet unless I have something that strongly convinces me they're scum.
That rarely happens D1.

I almost always coach my scum reads when they're at L-1 hoping against hope they try hard to show they're town.

Sometimes it works and I love when that happens.
Most times it doesn't.

He didn't try hard, to be clear I just didn't like it and then I was forced to choose at the end there. It was dumb of me to entirely rely on another player's meta read when IV scum made little sense to me. I tried for Nash when I got cold feet, then andre again but then, yeah.

Little bit of column A, little bit of column B.

Go read Nash, he wasn't exactly shakesphere.

Poor choice of words on my part. I have a scumread on you since you play maf how I would play maf; you make good points (from the first 15 pages I read), but don't really push or dominate the discussion, fitting my criteria I posted very well. So right now, I'm leaning towards voting notscience, but I'll refrain since I need to read pages 16-37.

Also, since I know my own role, I'm not gonna pay attention to Nash's posts very much.

Why did you post your criteria? @PlusJOYED?

It sounds like you’re voting me entirely based on playstyle, frankly.
