i absolutely floundered as scum in a game i recently played w a few players in this game and wanted to prove i was competent, esprcially to myself

you did a spend a good while focusing on that one medea post, that's more my concern than the vote itself. something I've admired about your townplay before is your ability to focus on what's important while not losing sight of the big picture. here you're honing in on stuff i don't think matters enough to drag on as long as it has and I haven't seen as much of a holistic approach as I might expect from what I know of your town play.

talk to me about the nerves. is it about proving yourself? or intimidated like your voice might get drowned out?

You say that it does not matter, but I felt like penguins's post 270 looked slimy enough to be warrant it, so I kept digging at it and did not like her responses either. If anything, I want to death tunnel her over all of it, but then no one else seems to see what I see there (except maybe dunn, he posted things that seemed like he saw it that way too)

As for the nerves, I think it is feeling for the first time that I am a viable miselim target. I have played in almost 20 games, and I have been miselimed ZERO times. I have always been loud and present enough that I end up in an almost town leader position, or at least firmly in the town block, and no scum team has looked at me and said "he's the weakest link that we can push out." But in a game with so many really strong players in it, I think that just inherently pushes me down there.

I did not have this worry when I signed up for the game, because I kind of just assumed that after Ceph's game that Ffery and Cabd would both snap town read me, and I would make it to the town block despite this being such a strong player list. And that just kind of didn't happen

I said I was not worried about being a miselim target because of it, which inherently requires me to be town.

So yeah, I expected a snap town read if I was town, and since I got a town role PM, I was not worried about being a miselim target until suddenly that did not happen

last game iirc a big issue a lot of the town had was with your readslist. I haven't seen yours in this game yet but notty doesn't like it. did you put any thought or effort into curating more believable/palatable reads?

But seriously, I am curious what game you felt like I was distinctly different from this one, and in what way.

Because honing in on very specific things is pretty standard for me. Like in Newbie 2065, I locked in on a single post coming from T3, and single mindedly pushed him out over it Day 1, and then Day 2 pushed Zyla out based on her response times in our real time chat compared to day 1

this isn't a post restriction, it's an alter playing the game who we might not be as familiar with. my understanding is that this one doesn't speak and wants to (has to?) carry that into the forum setting. so please stop treating this as something they are doing on purpose to change their game up

my take, maybe this bit is interpretive, is that the slot shouldn't be given credit for doing this nor should it be suspected for that reason. i think we just have to think about how we interact with her a little differently and there's nothing wrong with that.
