FLAVOR

Oversoul and Palisade fought for what seemed like hours. After a brief struggle between the two, Palisade was backed up against a tree. They both had numerous cuts and bruises on their body from their fight. Palisade had lost a few fingers, a foot and an eye in the ensuing scuffle but pressed on regardless. Now he had nowhere to go.

Suddenly, he had an idea. He poofed up into a cloud of smoke, leaving Oversoul completely clueless as to where he was. Palisade reappeared behind him, but before Palisade can finish Oversoul off...

...the tree behind him grabbed him and started eating him. He had reappeared, away from one tree and in front of another. The tree, hungry for flesh over the course of many millennia, feasted upon Palisade, first starting with his silky flowing grey hair, followed by his head and including his mask, and then the rest of the upper half of his body.

Oversoul sat down after his completely exhausting and overwhelming fight to rest. The other Kombatants looked at Smoke's discarded body on the ground in horror. They realized Palisade's death was for naught; the mysterious and good-natured Lin Kuei warrior Smoke had been torn apart in the scuffle.

Once again breaking apart into individual paths, they decided to split up to try to find a way out of this horrid world.

It is now Night 4! Deadline is Friday, September 2nd at 8:00 PM EDT.

FLAVOR

After travelling for what seemed like days, Kitana was desperate to find out more about herself. After the death of who she thought was her father, Shao Kahn, she started to have doubts about her origins. After leaving the Living Forest, she travelled until she found a portal; a swirling fiery abyss that lead to an unknown area. Perhaps this was the answer that she was looking for.

As she stepped closer to the portal, a person stepped through. This person saw the surprised look on Kitana's face and noticed that she was not from the area. Deciding that this intruder needed to die, the Kombatant readied themself. Kitana did the same.

The fight didn't last long. The unknown assailant overpowered Kitana quickly and without a sweat. As Kitana laid on the ground, she thought about her lingering feelings for Liu Kang, her unknown past, and a feeling of failure. The assailant turned around and burnt Kitana to a crisp.

Elsewhere, Sonya Blade was tired of having to deal with this otherworldly bullshit. She ran across the plains of Outworld, looking for her superior, her mortal enemy, or both; she was looking for SOME sort of familiarity. As she ran across the plains, she came across Kitana's body and the fiery portal next to it. She wondered if the person who murdered Kitana ran into the portal, but before she could react, a Kombatant leaped out of nowhere, grabbed her neck, and ripped it off at the base. The assassin devoured it and ran off, leaving Sonya Blade headless and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. The other Kombatants arrived just in time to see Sonya's last moments as she fell onto the ground, in line with Kitana's body.

The Kombatants realized that this mysterious portal must be the key to these murders. They ran inside...

...and found themselves in Hell.

Lava filled both chasms on each side of the path they stood on. Skulls lined up the stone-textured pillars.

Everyone had a bad feeling about this. One person became unruly and started looking for a fight after seeing the place that they were trapped in.

The Lie Detector selects 3 sentences from that post, and I will tell the Lie Detector at my discretion and to the best of my ability if that player was telling the truth. The Lie Detector is not seen visiting anyone by using this action, and it can only be used once. The sentences can not be opinions (such as reads of players); any sentence sent in that cannot be answered will be a waste of that sentence.
