Fwiw this was about when I decided Inferno was an early townread. I don't really think you're interested in why I found the post noteworthy though? Like let me know if you're after something here.
Actually yeah I do want to know, which was why i brought it up. The post was apparently enough for two people to declare it the first "GoodPost" of the game AND to get a town read off of it, but at the time I rolled my eyes at it. I want to know your thought process.
In post 475, brassherald wrote:Re 184, I'm not going to say I have a great explanation, but dramonic's posts just feel like scum posting. It's pure gut, and no real evidence, yeah, but, like everything feels like he's too calculated, I guess would be the right phrase, to be town.
I also don't think 482 is a town post, but, again, I can't quite put my finger on why.
My dramonic read is purely instinct, and I cannot read his posts and tell my stupid instinct with my brain that it's being stupid.
Those tags lead to your own post and the OP, so I'm assumin you screwed up something in there
Also I might come off as calculated because I have to actually think about how I post. My normal posting style is not chill at all. XD
Disclaimer I don't know Dram hardly at all but can confirm that my impression of him from speakeasy has been the opposite of chill and seeing all these xD smiles faces and such is like being winked at by Lucifer

Boy you do not get to jump on a flash wagon for no reason while also shading me. Tell the class why I'm a scummy scum butt
Should be good now

Guys, I'm saying this one more time - do not lynch me D1.
I'm currently being put closer to the situation where you just "ehhh" close to the deadline and someone hammers.
If you REALLY think I've done fuckall, it's an unfair assessment.
If you REALLY think I've been "scummy", you are actually mistaken.
What I haven't done, is that I haven't communicated my points transparently, or "cased" anyone properly.
I haven't been an open book, but why does that make me scum?
It's really very simple - I just can't obv. Town D1 this game.
Although it might be that I can't do any detecting on scum anyway, I simply can't be an obv.town.
I still intend to do more longer posts today, but I'm worried the damage is done already.

Don't like that last series of flubber posts (975 to 978).
HitAlt's 979 is flaily enough for me to keep my current vote for now, though.

I think your definition of "flaily" is also flawed.

Flailing in the sense that it reads to me as scum worrying about being lynched soon. You're basically just being rather dismissive, calling people who think you're scummy (in scarequotes) mistaken. The amount of hard pushing you've been doing on me and dram looks really sus when you weren't backing it up with anything up until recently and the points you have against dram just seem kind of hastily thrown together since one of them was a complete misinterpretation of what he meant, which is part of why I find your closed book-ness scummy.
Basically the whole post just reads as "don't lynch me" with a few doses of "you're all wrong."

I'll post tomorrow if I don't burnout or withdraw from people
Just by skimming the past few pages, I do not want a
hitalt
lynch at all D1 and I will case a townread on that.
I know this one because I was told that I should know it as not a newbie but it's a wagon where there is only one person on it.
I think it's a dumb term because it makes no sense

The bigger point being that task is g having a lot of issues committing to a vote

I want at least stances out on that first (there's another thing) even if deadline makes me to compromise
The problem is calling it vanity before anyone else even responded dismisses the seriousness and makes it more ignorable
TBH as a sidepoint I don't even think game should even ever be locked into specific wagons as such unless literally <24h deadline and I actually don't feel that good about current gamestate (though partially because I was busy and missed most earlyday so I still don't feel a solid grasp yet)
though I'm not used to large normals where maybe it's different story and people can't (or maybe just don't) ever flashwagon anything near EOD

Flashwagons are ugly in larger games and I've seen them on several occasions cause no lynches

@Elbirn, who we lynching?

Close to deadline?
We have 3 days.
And why Elbirn specifically?

But, two of those days are weekend days and I do not plan to spend my weekend on mafiascum, personally.
Elbirn because he's my top townread.

Andrius, Elbirn, and HeWhoSwims have all been prodded. It is their first offense each.
Some reminders:
Rules wrote:4. If no majority is reached by deadline there will be No Lynch.
5. Days will have a non-negotiable deadline of 2 weeks. I may choose to extend a deadline in special circumstances, but it's unlikely. Don't count on it.
I see no cause for a deadline extension at this time. Fair warning.
You could not be more wrong and this whole "Terminology is bad" I keep seeing floated is at best short sighted.
Vanity wagons can be analyzed for significant alignment information value depending on the game-state two days down the line. I've caught numerous scum over the years hanging out on a singleton wagon and doing nothing to progress the game otherwise.
Personally I'd lynch Brass regardless of all the meta testimony I have gotten because this is by far not the first bad, bad post that has does nothing to find scum but does lots to buddy up to players I've seen from him.
--
Not a bunch of time ... busy holiday period for me.
Keeping my vote on Flubber. That whole last "Oh, I don't feel comfortable having HitAlt at L-2 ... nevermind vote" two step smells like posturing. It doesn't jibe with his "HitAlt would be an acceptable lynch regardless" stance he floated earlier.
@Rask
- You are not the only one who has been waiting all game for HitAlt to do anything other than Appeal to Repetition on his scum suspects. And while I am not there yet on Duckling I can see where you are coming from on the possible WhiteKnighting front. Also waiting for the last second to wagon people is stupid as all it is likely to do is potentially cause excess claims or a deadline no-lynch.
@HitAlt
- While I'm not sure you are particularly a highly likely to hit scum lynch I'm not really feeling like I should bother fighting it either. Your "I can't be more ProTown" is weaksauce. I appreciate the specific response and if I had time I'd go in depth about the things I agree with / like about it and those I don't. But I don't.
@Andy
- Got any other suspects beyond HitAlt Holy Warrior you can share as the day draws close to the end. I'd like to mull over what you feel you see that I may not.

Okay, I just reread dramonic’s ISO and
Yeah, I’m 90% sure now that this is scum. Everybody come help me pressure here.
Why, you may ask?
-Early game, dramonic does hardly anything to interact with the game until #604, which is the top half of page 25. So very little real hunting from him early game.
-He refuses to explain why Gus is Town because of “chill rules,” but when I point out Gus’ major inconsistencies, his only response is “you’re gonna be disappointed with people.” Plus, in #472 he talks about Gustavo’s argument and how he has to convince himself as scum and such. What argument? There was no arguments being had. So weak case for town!Gus, especially when challenged
-He provides little in terms of actual reads
-the davesaz wagon consists mostly of “you’re not being transparent enough” and no other real points and concerns are being stated
-he’s actually just sheeping the Hit wagon. He’s added no relavant content to it
-he’s done a total reverse on TW with no progression or reasoning except for that he’s defending Hit, who isn’t even confirmed scum yet
-Is passive aggressively tunneling Taly despite giving no reads on him after davesaz replaces out
-only provided original reads on davesaz. No other original content from the slot after that exchange
-Posturing pretty hard for accusing someone of posturing and not doing anything
That’s a lot of yuck from dramonic.

No one really seems to care about my scum reads so I'm just not sharing them until the end of day.
If you want something, I think inferno is scum. But, I doubt an inferno wagon is going to start when I display my reasoning because we all saw how much weight my reads actually have when I spoke about them the last two times, so why distract town with another possible wagon that no one is going to follow for literal days and I only have 3 days.
But, yeah, Inferno scum, dramonic scum, Taly possible scum, the worst isn't looking so hot recently, I'm not sold on Flubber scum, I think the hitalt wagon is not thinking about anything, but again, people have shown a tendency to ignore me, but I'll go for it.
Why does hitalt!scum double down on this position of not doing cases day 1? It would be most beneficial for him to be town read in this case.
When everyone wants to listen to what I'm saying instead of giving me shit about what I'm saying not being enough because there are like 2 posts that don't line up with the general ideas I assert over the course of two weeks of play, then I'll stop having fun as much and start really engaging people, but I don't like wasting my own time.

Your voting seems very opportunistic. And, up until that last post, all of your reads seemed wishy-washy to me.
The last post might move you to scumlean rather than scumread, but I need to consider it.
