Mini 51 (CARTOON NETWORK Mafia) - Game Over

YOU'RE TUNED IN TO
Image
MAFIA!

During their off hours, those hard-working actors from our favorite shows on the CARTOON NETWORK have a life, like anybody else. Several of these beloved characters have moved to a quiet, nicely-drawn little suburb near the studios, where they can enjoy their lives free from the stress of Tinseltown. But things aren’t quite idyllic, because it’s becoming obvious that a few villains have also moved in, with more on their animated little minds than peace and quiet. The local headlines have been distressing, with news of increased crime, erased neighbors, and even a downtown murder. Inevitably, the town is reduced to one representative from each CARTOON NETWORK show, who must now find and eliminate evil, or be banished to an eternity of re-runs and bad halloween costumes.

The Animated:

Isaac
massive
PBuG
Thoth
Totem

The Erased:

Dragon Phoenix (Nurse Joy) - killed Night 1
Quagmire (Hamtaro) - found dead Day 1
blackhawk/JazzRed (Wile E. Coyote) - lynched Day 1
rite (Frieza/Mafia) - lynched Day 2
Tigris (Eddy) - killed Night 3
Electra (Mojo Jojo/Mafia) - lynched Day 3
God (Fred Flintstone/Mafia) - lynched Day 4

Congratulations town - all scum is eliminated.

Game Rules

All standard mafiascum rules apply, with the addition of the following:
  • Votes
must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
  • Please "
    unvote
", if necessary, before casting a new vote.
  • A lynch will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, nothing will stop the inevitable.
  • You may "
    vote: no lynch
". Majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without one.
  • The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
  • Do not post in this game unless you are playing, active and alive, until it is officially over.
  • Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts.
  • Don’t directly quote any PMs from me.
  • If you have any questions, please PM them to me. I will not answer any question asked of me in the thread. Do not directly quote any PMed answers from me.
  • If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. If you fail to get your choice in, none will be made.
  • If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment to 12 others. If you feel you must be replaced for whatever reason, please notify me via PM.
  • Remember that this is a game, intended to be enjoyable for everyone. I hope you play to win, without giving in to name-calling or general meanness.
  • To preserve the integrity of the game, refrain from discussing your role and/or game happenings with any of the other players, active or inactive, as long as the game is still running.
  • If in doubt, PM the mod!

I won't be available until later this evening, so I'll extend the deadline until midnight EST. Cartoon Network Mafia will be on the air tonight!

The computer-generated sun rises over the beautifully rendered mountains, heralding the start of Day 1. As you begin going about your daily business and discussions about the town’s troubles, you realize that Thoth, for some reason, is invisible today. There is a paintbrush and empty can in his front yard, and though he cannot be seen, he can be heard, loud and clear as ever. Eventually, you get around to a quick population count and see that *gasp* there are only 10 of you. A respected town figure, the beautiful Nurse Joy, is dead in her office. And adding insult to injury, Hamtaro, the cute and adventurous little hamster, is also dead. His furry little body was found unceremoniously tossed on his doorstep.

Dragon Phoenix, Nurse Joy
, was a doctor. She was able to protect a player from a night kill.
Quagmire, Hamtaro
, was able to hide with another player to protect himself from a night kill.

There are 10 alive, it will take 6 votes to lynch.

<input type="invisible" value="text">
This seems like a bad start. A doctor gone and Hamtaro seems to have spend the night with the wrong person

I have no idea what it means that i'm invisible. I got a pot of paint and of course could not resist :)

So, do we have two killing groups, or did Hamtaro just pick the wrong person? I'm leaning towards the two killing groups, as who the hell would hide with Dragon Phoenix? Better off with someone who I've never heard of. Like PBug.

eww 2 dead doctors...

i'm confused... "found dead" doesn't sound like the work of a serial killer...
so perhaps we only have one killing group and he hid with one of the maf?

God: What did you mean by saying "2 dead doctors"? Hamtaro could only protect himself at night ... not anyone else. And I'd say it's most likely that Quagmire just made a bad choice on night one. And I'd also say that DP makes a fine candidate for a night-one hiding; since he's a prolific player, it makes sense to guess that he'd be randomly doctor-protected on night one.

Of course, he WAS the doctor, so there's where the logic failed.

PS: Watched Hamtaro this morning. I'm gonna miss that furry little sucker.

Okay, so shortish post, they are kicking me out. I finally found a place with juice and internet connection (I'm in Michigan, specifically Eastern Michigan area). I am not sure how much I will be able to post in the next few days (?).

Uhm, don't want to random vote (as I don't know when I will be able to post next), but maybe give something to think about? We have Pokemon and Hamtaro in this, any speculation on which other shows? Hope everyone else has power :)

Dragonball Z is definitely in it, as my character is from that show. ;_; Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack are two other shows that are popular and should be in the game. Um, yeah.

(I know I said I'm going, and I am, but I've gotta insert something)

Please stop now. All we are doing is giving the Mafia good ideas as to easy role claims. Let them do their own research, please? Revealing what show you are from just tells the mafia not to claim a role from your show, making it harder to trap them.

Hey now... sorry, I just don't like random voting in the beginning of the game, so I thought i'd stay quiet until something really worth commenting on happened. Anyhows, I am here, but unless I have something to share, I'll probably stay quiet until the game picks up a bit.

Yeah, I actually have power now. ^_^

Anyhows, I already have two proper pro-town responses (neither of which are role-claims and both of which are easily confirmed) should I get bandwagoned, so I'm completely unconcerned about a bandwagon or votes against me

Also, I never suggested that people should reveal which shows they are from, just as a matter of discussion which shows are likely to be included. I quite like active day ones, gives us more to work with in later days, and asking questions about game balance/structure and possibly night choices, i.e. who was killed and why, are just about the only questions that people can discuss during day one. Bandwagoning for role-claims usually doesn't help the town much (mith just wrote a post in 49 about voting and such, quite good imo), so I thought I would try and start a bit of discussion. Hmm, just noticed everyone has posted, nifty.

*sigh* Can you tell I haven't played in a while and like being back? Logically, if there are three in the mafia (normal number) Quagmire hiding would give him a 1/3 chance of dying by either hiding with the mafia or the target (DP), but that is just academic at this point I guess, as I doubt we have another hider.
