Gangsters of Scum

After being to the theater yesterday (seeing the movie smokin' aces), I had an idea for a mafia game i'd like to share the idea (as it's going to be partial open set up anyway)

The game starts with 2 Mafia godfathers and 23 townies.

The godfather roles will be like this: Able to recruit a player during the night. When ~ dies. (undecided yet if the mafiagroup will stay with no kill after godfather died or that they return to all town).

The role of the recruited will be like this: 2 choices: protect the godfather or kill a player. All the recruited have this choice (so expect a massive deathcount nearing the end).

Each recruitable townie also carries a stats (protective chance of succeeding, assassination chance of succeeding) and sometimes a role (like roleblocker, improved-doc (% of protective increased) or improved-vig (% of assassination increased).

The game will start with day, so the town has more chance at the start. The mafia isn't able to kill during the first night, as he hasn't any recruits so far.

If a godfather targets a recruited player of the other, a recruit of their own team will die.

I'm unsure yet of the facts like townie roles or mafia dismantling.

That's partially the point. People can advertise themselves to the unknown godfathers to get their spot into the mafia (hey, they're allowed to lie about it to convince the godfather they're a good target). If the GF dies, the mafia will fall apart. The town has also some power roles then to detect the GF's and save themselves.

It sure needs more in depth research... that's for sure...

Idea:
* let 12 people sign up.
* create 12 alternate accounts
* Assign alternates to players
* Reveal which 3 players (not alts) are scum and which 9 players are town.
* Make playerclaiming or any form of identifying someone a modkillable offense.

Idea - Replacement Mafia:
* let 12 people sign up
* a normal setup
* any player outside of the game can request replacement for a certain player. To do this, they pm the player. The chosen player can then pm me to allow the replacery.
* The replacement will then be an "alt" of the player, who can talk and play as the "replaced" player, controlling their vote and nighttalk. The original player still has the same rights, and can still vote and post. It's essentially a second head for the player.
* Any number of players can "replace" a certain player.
* Once a player dies, the replacers die with it, and are unable to replace again.
