It'll be a while before i get close to modding, but what do people think of 'alternating mafia?' Mini, mafia and powerroles determined as normal, then the group is split into two (again, at random). Half can post and vote on odd days, half on evens (mafia and powerroles can act every night). A majority of those able to post on a given day causes a lynch, and the lynchee can be anyone, including those unable to post that day.
Perhaps even make it Antipodean mafia, when the night for half the players is the day for the other half?- The Fonz

A smalltown setup is one where everyone's role names and powers are out in the open from the beginning, but not their alignments. You have a pool of twelve known roles, and three are selected at random to be mafia and one to be the SK.Adel wrote:What is a smalltown setup? I thought someone else was working on a Heroes setup, but I can't remember who.
i am also auto-/in for any Heroes theme game. I so want to be Angela (Big Bad Momma) Petrelli!
Before I forget- Freedom Force Mafia anyone?- The Fonz

I hope you don't mean 'vanilla townie' singular. It's a good theme (been done before, but that universe offers possibilities of very different games) but AT LEAST HALF YOUR TOWN NEEDS TO BE VANILLA!rickvoid wrote:Hello!
Don't know if somebody else has claimed it, but I'd like to try a Warhammer 40K Mafia. I know I need to get a few games under my belt (haven't gotten to play one yet!) but the 40K universe sounds like it could be easily ported to mafia.
EX: Two mafia families= Inquisitor (Cop, can investigate or kill at night, not both), Space Marine (kill only) and Imperial Guardsman (kill only) vs Daemon (can infect psykers, making a psyker townie a member of the mafia), Chaos Marine (kill), and Mutated Heretic (kill). Throw in a Medicae (doctor), a Dark Eldar Pirate (Serial Killer), a few psykers (vague investigate with a failure chance, also chance of burnout (death) when attempting to investigate), and of course, the vanilla townie.
So... what'cha think?- The Fonz

Anyone like the sound of:
Despotmaker?
Like Presidentmaker, only once a President is elected, he stays in office until either nightkilled, or a majority (possibly a supermajority, need to think about balance) of the other players vote for a revolution in a secret ballot(which results in the President's death and a new set of elections).- The Fonz

Sounds a lot like election day mafia, only there the minor parties were town and the cons/libs scum.shaft.ed wrote:I've had an idea for election mafia for a while but not the time to run it. Basically the town has two factions that are trying to elect their president. If they elect their candidate they win, so they are effectively competing conglomorate jesters. If anyone besides a presidential nominee garners the most votes they die as normal. Scum will be third party candidates that win once the nominees of both parties are dead.
And no, i'm not just bringing that game up because it's my best ever scum performance.- The Fonz

Would anyone be up for
"Barenaked Ladies PresentOne Week Mafia"
Days have six-day deadlines, with the night taking up however much of the week is left. (So if game goes to dl, one-day nights).
Players are randomly assigned a voting day. By the end of that day, they must vote or be modkilled. Votes only count if placed on the correct day. Once the day is over, they are immutable.
Day ends when one player has a majority. If no majority, there will be a plurality lynch at deadline, providing there is no tie.If there is a tie, there will be nl.
So for example, on day one, two players would be voting each day. - The Fonz
