It is fine in all six browsers on my end. Try restarting yours. Stuff gets whack sometimes.

Does the edit button even show up. Did you lock, unlock or otherwise change the thread between the time when you could and could not edit?

Actually it is capped at 200 posts per page. For now. Mith may decide to change it down the line.

This used to happen to me all the time.

It stopped happening once I was able to see everything.

Wasn't this issue due to some kind of hidden post/threads showing up?

Okay the problem is there is a topic that is not "approved" in this forum. I am assuming most people can't see that topic, and so it is registering as unread.

I am pretty sure that the unapproved topic is hidden for all but five people on the entire site. My educated guess is to place the blame on that thread.

He wants to see the total number of posts in the thread in isolation view in order to see how many posts have been made since the user's most recent post.

Well he is right. It doesn't really seem appropriately placed where you're suggesting.

There is a portion of the page that says, for example in this thread, "647 posts * page 26 of 26"

What if it were to say in isolation "XX posts(647 total) * page X of X"

That would provide what you're looking for.

Yeah we just reordered and removed the duplicate link. It shouldn't prevent you from linking to a particular post.

It is because there are spammers posting threads that are not approved, which you can't see. They're there, though.

Marking transitions by post ID is how I would design it as well.
