Special Mechanics:
1) There are
three special roles
in the game.
Sniper
: Disguised as a partygoer with a remote controlled sniper watching the party, this person has one third-party objective... discover the Spy and kill them. At night, the Sniper will be able to watch one of the game zones for any sign of the Spy trying to complete objectives. People who are in the watched location will see the Sniper's scope. The Sniper has a one-shot strongman dayvig that he may use... and that one shot will determin whether he wins, or loses. The Sniper also has special information and knows that one of two people is the Double Agent. Double Agent may be town or mafia-aligned.
Spy
: This seemingly innocuous person is town-aligned. They have six potential objectives to achieve, and each time they achieve one of their objectives, a new power will be given out to the town. They may not be the only power role at gamestart. The six potential objectives are described below:
- Bug Ambassador: You must move to the location of the Ambassador, then during the night phase, place a bug on the Ambassador.
Hard tell.
- Contact Double Agent: You must move to the same conversation circle as the Double Agent, then during the night phase, contact the Double Agent. Everyone will hear the words "Banana Bread".
Hard tell.
- Swap Statue: You must move to the statues, then during the night phase, swap one of the statues.
Hard tell.
- Inspect Statues: You must move to the statues, then during the night phase, inspect a statue. You must do this two times to complete the objective.
No tell.
- Seduce Target: You must move to the location of the seduction target, then during the night phase, try to seduce them. You must do this three times to complete the objective.
No tell.
- Transfer Microfilm: You must move to either the blue or green bookshelf. Then, during the night phase, you may remove the microfilm from the book and place it back on the shelf. You must then, in a different night phase, go to the other bookshelf and place the microfilm in a book there.
Hard tell.
Hard tells are ones that the Spy can spot, while no tells are ones he won't.
Ambassador
: This presitigious windbag is Ether van Trawn, and he is a special ambassador. He is not targetable, nor is he a player in the game. He is a mod-controlled NPC, and because of his hoity-toityship, he will move before the rest of you during the movement phase. He is only there to serve the purpose of being a target for the Spy's objective.
2) There is a
special phase
in between day and night phase, called the
movement phase
. During this phase, I will announce where the Ambassador has gone, and the rest of you will privately submit to me the location you'd like to move to for the night. Each person MUST submit a location during this phase, or they will be randomized. After this phase is complete, I will post a list of where each person has ended up, and the night phase will begin. You may move to any of the following locations:
Green
Bookshelf
Blue
Bookshelf

Conversation Circle
by the Windows
Conversation Circle
in the Middle of the Room
