Got to 30 last month and finished my placements today. Got Silver II, which was higher than I expected and higher than my friends who got me to play LOL, so I'm pretty excited!

And as interesting as the kegs sound, I'm going to miss buffing my team-mates. He was simple but I thought he was fun. I'll miss him, even if I enjoy playing this new and improved version.
Why are they changing perfectly fine champions? :[ I want my jolly GP back and Fiora is one of the best looking champions. I understand the gameplay updates, but the visual ones just seem unnecessary. Ok, In GP's case they built a new character, but in Fiora's case I don't quite get what they're doing.
Btw, is it me or is GP really OP now? I played a couple of ARAM games with him, played around with the kegs, failed miserably at using them optimally, never got to update the ultimate and still did tons of damage, much more than anyone else.

Leona isn't hard. W>Q>E, maybe leading with ult to guarantee you snare them. Bam, dead champ.
And just build tanky as hell. Sightstone, Targon's/Face, Locket, something like Frozen Heart or Randuin's isn't entirely terrible or even Thornmail, Banner, Mobi boots. And get Abyssal instead of FH/RO if your team is mainly magic damage.
I'll have to give her another try when she's back in rotation. She seems similar to Nautilus but more aggressive and less tanky?
I've been really enjoying playing Quinn lately, but what am I supposed to do with her ult? I've been using it to chase dying targets and finish them off with the aoe or to flee when I'm being chased, but are there other scenarios where I should use it?

Oh right, that's happening. I unlocked her and now I'm curious to see what they'll do to her, I imagine she can only get better.
Now I'm worried about Kalista though. I hope they don't forget all the nerfs they did to her while they're focused on those other marksmen. Even if they don't change anything about her, I hope the new items will make her compete with the updated champions, or I'm afraid she'll just fade away.
Runnan's + BotRK is one of my favorite combos. It's beautiful on Kalista, but I also love buying it on casters when I play ARAM or bots, it's so fucking fun.
I get you. I usually just do the easy "place 1st keg in bush" -> "place 2nd keg and blow them up when enemy gets close". But then that gets predictable as the enemies become more aware of the kegs and I give up on thinking how to use them effectively, so I just place them randomly when engaging, fighting or running away. Even if I don't use them effectively, they can still provide a distraction. But I find I can use them best when the enemies are already distracted. I also place them around turrets to defend/attack. But, yeah, I always feel like I'm not using them to their full potential (not even close).
I haven't played many ranked games because of my crappy Internet connection. I only have a couple of "good" hours where I can play without much lag, but today I decided to play a ranked game, because I really want to get Gold and I think it's still achievable if I focus, play well and win some games; and I don't really have anything to lose. The game went great, a couple of lag spikes and some tension from a mean Lux, but the enemy team eventually surrendered. It went so well and I was so relieved that I'd be 1 game closer to my S1 promos, that I became really sad when I realized it was a normal draft.
Isn't one of the benefits of playing with friends, that people play for fun and don't take screw-ups so seriously? I thought that inhouse was going to be like that, I was even a little sad that I couldn't join for being in EUW, but it sounds like it was as stressful as a ranked match.
Guys, I don't think arguing with someone who calls himself a "Vayne main" is a good idea. Besides, what does it matter if he builds AD or AS, it's his build. If he doesn't understand it's not the most optimal one, it's his problem. Or not, because maybe building AD first just fits his playstyle better.
That feeling when 3 people instalock mid champions and you already know you're going to lose but you play anyway... and you lose and think to yourself "why didn't I just leave?".
I think she brings a lot of utility to a fight, making good use of it is what I find the hardest. I rarely play her outside ARAM, where I find it's much more satisfying to play her.

That's the basic I'd think anyone would understand about the barrels. It's painful watching a GP stack his barrels or placing the first barrel in the open when there's a bush right beside him, telegraphing his move; or wasting an ult. Just had one of those in an ARAM game. Still won though and he still topped the damage charts. Stay OP GP.
There are better supports and she's better at other roles (?). and also noob logic in thinking that she'd be a support because of the heal, which has barely any impact.

I like mage supports too, did all my placements with Zyra (got Silver 4 btw - yay, thought I'd be put in bronze). And I'm actually really tempted to re-try Kayle support now. I haven't played her in ages outside of ARAM (even there, it's been a while now); she was my go-to champ when I started as she was the only one I owned (ty Rito) and got tired of her.
My most satisfying play today, as jungle Zyra. Enemy had a fed Kata and Yi, we awkwardly engaged them while they fought baron, they proceeded to start deleting us, I managed to flash and smite baron, he lived and I got deleted. Enemy team won the team fight and went off to finish baron, then BAM!, ZYRA PASSIVE BARON STEAL! It was beautiful.
It's hextech crafting. The crate has a skin shard and a ward shard, plus enough essence to craft one of them. It's a free skin, and I think it's for a champion you own. I got Special Forces GP (aw yeah!) and I only own have him and Zyra on this account.
Also, I want in da club. (Clubs? Is there one in EUW?)
With Sejuani of all champs. Also funny how the last kill was Twitch, the only other champion I have gotten a penta with.
Still lost the game, but eh, didn't really care after this.
Just tried the reworked Taric for the first time. Surprisingly fun and not as complicated as I thought he'd be. I felt like I was useful to my team and a real annoyance to the other team. I might start playing him.
