Not getting a popup for new PMs

I've noticed this too, kind of. Pop-ups are blocked here, but when I refresh , if there's a new PM then a yellow alert normally appears at the top of the page saying "a pop-up was blocked", which is just as good. I haven't been getting this recently.

Since I don't have anything whitelisted currently, I'm not sure how I can fix this... but I expect I can live without it.
