I may be new, but I am not in over my head. I'm just being targeted by people for the wrong reasons. Ironically, this happened in my very first game on the other forum. A certain individual hated that I was new and decided to target me. No matter what evidence he saw to my innocence or what powerful roles defended me, he rallied the Town against me. He ended up making himself look more like Mafia as a result, and his death provided a key clue in taking down the real Mafia. I turned out to be one of the most valuable roles in the game and uncovered this key, ensuring a Town victory. But that individual's anger only increased at having been shown up by a newbie, and it caused things on that site to go rapidly downhill. Don't be blinded by assumptions and what seems to be. I'm not playing terribly at all. Nerux and CSL are. They are rallying against me for all the wrong reasons, and their attitude in doing so makes them look more suspicious.

I am perfectly capable playing this as my first game. I was never honestly accused of being Mafia. I said I didn't think I would ever be able to adjust to the length of phases here. They scolded the involved parties-both publically and privately-and told them to stop. They didn't, and eventually, I had to lock the threads. 1. If Reaper is lying about the contents of his box, he either hasn't opened it yet and wants us to think that he has or has opened it but doesn't want us to know what's really inside. The fact that he would lie rather than simply not address opening it all is suspicious.

2. Post numbers isn't really neccessary, but it seems that he is posting single words that are links to other, bigger posts.

3. Nothing, but if we don't make kills, we are just sitting back and letting the Mafia pick us off one by one. I still think CSL is Mafia. But if it's Reaper or possibly no one, best to go with Reaper.

1. Commit to a position? I have already said that I think he is lying. However, the possibility still exists that he is not. For that reason, I will continue to use terms like "if".
2. They are the Mafia. The reaction did not happen until a while after Reaper started posting in single words. It wouldn't look good for him, regardless of which side he is on, if he claimed to suddenly be lying. Also, the key is hiding the contents of his box, which I would think could be beneficial.


1. You guys may have your super-long deadlines, but I think it's more beneficial to reach a majority sooner rather than later
2. Both CSL and Reaper are suspects to me, so I am fine with lynching either one or Neruz or Rikana.

kondi, there are lies that are okay in Mafia and lies that are not okay. Attempting to influence the game by lying about how things work to a new player is generally not considered okay. It is the type of thing that usually has serious consequences.

I think they should handle Jesters like in my old game. It really makes them have the last laugh, because they can pretty much screw over a majority of the players just by being lynched.

To you, maybe. The Jester's goal is to get lynched, and in doing so, everyone who voted for them can't do anything the following turn. That has a lot of potential.

Officially, the Jester is part of the Town and therefore wins if the Town wins.

Just because something is not clearly stated to be against the rules, that doesn't mean it's fine. There are some things that should just be common sense.

The Jester is not officially a power role, since it can't really do anything on its own. The fact is, that the Jester does want to get lynched. If the player does not wish to, however, it's not a requirement.

And you are not everyone.O_o Just because you think what he did is fine, does not mean everyone does.
