I don't really see how Fur's use of ellipses was suspicious, particularly since he hasn't posted anything else to suggest scumminess. Besides, I would imagine most scum would prefer to not stand out and thus not put three dots in their confirm post.

I have some suspicion on Soda for doing a random vote when RVS was clearly over (which, I believe, some people stated prior to his post), but what really jumps out to me is this:

I'm here, I just don't have anything really to throw out there yet. Trying to get a read of people and playstyles before I make any judgement calls. No worries, though.

I will say that if Pine is scum, I should quit this game. He's pretty obvtown. Maybe a little off based, but yeah.

I don't like his certainty that Pine is town, especially when it's this early in the game. Furthermore, the waffling (saying that he doesn't have anything to contribute yet and is just trying to get some reads) is usually something scum would do to try and blend in the background without calling too much attention to themselves. Pine is leaning towards town when I judge from posts alone, although I don't like the way Grimm is declaring so strongly that Pine's definitely town.

Reckoner: Neither you nor FoN said Furcolow is definitely 100% scum, and even though your reasoning for accusing him was, in my opinion, weak, you still gave reasoning to support what you were saying.

Reck: To me, Grimm sounded more certain that Pine was town than you were of Furcolow being scum. I was also not entirely sure how serious you were being about attacking him over ellipses and decided you were being half-serious, half-not, whereas Grimm sounded entirely serious.

FoN's hopping is making my head spin, but isn't really something that strikes me as particularly scummy. One thing I have noticed reading through, though, is that Yates is making posts with little actual content. I'm not saying he is the only person in the game who is making posts with less amount of content than would be desirable, but for 12 posts, he has said remarkably little and didn't really express much of an opinion. It's a common scum tactic, especially among beginning players, to try and blend in.

I also really don't like these subtle little comments he keeps making without actually taking a stance. For example:

Sure didn't take you long to backpedal.

Intriguing.

and

So in this game you're supposed to treat each other like assholes; like Pine and SK? Got it.

You can learn so much in 8 short pages...

Wow, Triangle. You are pushing pretty hard for no reason and with no evidence. Wait - I put a hyphen in my post. Oh! And an ellipses... Those are surely scum tells. Now I see your rationale.

For the record, there were two people who said, facetiously or not, that hyphens and ellipses were scummy, and neither of them were me.

You'll notice that I didn't have a vote on the board [other than no lynch] expressly because I didn't feel as though there was any evidence to substantiate a vote.

I wasn't complaining so much that you didn't have a vote as that you weren't actively participating. The point of my vote was to draw you out and make you start analyzing so we could hear your thoughts. Clearly, it worked. It was a pressure vote - hardly a bandwagon. That said, I am sufficiently satisfied with the analysis you posted and the content you're contributing.

1) I feel like she took my "Pine is town" comment and ran with it to see if anyone else would pick it up. Also, I would note that the only day that Triangle posted more than one time that day was the day she called me out. Which makes me immediately think that she was trying to see who else would run with her vote on me and be there to back it up.

I generally post once a day because that's more or less the amount of time I have; I happened to have a little more down time that day and so I posted more.

3) Post 265 drives me up a fucking wall. Voting for someone that others found scummy IS actually a scum tactic. Nice of you, however, to back it up with flimsy reasoning. Your reasoning was basically this: he hasn't posted much (just like several other players in the game) and when he did post, it wasn't much in the way of content (just like several other people in the game); he also posted a few comments that were OBVIOUSLY sarcastic, but you don't seem to think so (why?); he also does seem to be thinking about the game and making it obvious he's doing so, so when he makes comments like "Intriguing" it means that he's thinking from scum mentality rather than town. I don't buy it. It's a pathetically weak case, it's crap IMO, and it was basically an attempt to blend in with a potentially beginning wagon since others have stated that they find him scummy.

There was in no way a bandwagon starting... I didn't like how Yates was barely contributing and instead posting these subtle little sarcastic comments that showed he clearly had thoughts on what was going on (like when he said "Intriguing"), but wasn't sharing. Once I voted him, he started contributing significantly more.

I don't understand this reasoning. Uphill brings up a good point - you've weighed in on pretty much everything so far and yet you glossed over the bandwagon on Soda, stating simply that he's town without actually giving any reasoning to support that.

I don't really see Pine as being scum. His posts are clear and thoughtful, and he presents cases with evidence and logical reasoning. This post also feels very town to me:

Reck, at this point, I'm 95% likely to be a mislynch at some point, whether it is D1 or later. Making that lynch not a waste is more important than preventing it.

I'm also not a loss for Town. I've said my piece and don't have an important role. So don't sweat it.

The only thing that bothers me about him is his statement about having a "crystal-clear" idea of who the scum are, but that seems more like a poor choice of words than anything else.

Hi guys, I lost power on Saturday afternoon and still don't have it back, which is really not fun in a northeast winter (writing this from a library computer). I skimmed the last few pages - in answer to Reck's question, yes, I've only completed one game on the site - but I don't have time to do a solid read-through. No clue when power will return, but I doubt it will be before the deadline.

I was told I would get power back midnight on Wednesday or Thursday, but I literally just got power back now.

Yates: I'm in NJ. I can't find a link backing me up right now, but my street was one of the last few to get power restored. There are still places in my state where people don't have power yet, and quite a few high schools in the area have been closed yesterday and today.
