The Rules (lifted from LoudmouthLee who lifted them from DP)

THE RULES:
[01] Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting.
[02] No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so and then only in the game's nights.
[03] Get your choices in before the deadlines. If not, a random choice will be made for the first night, and no choice for subsequent nights.
[04] No DIRECT quoting of my or others PM's. No paraphrasing of winning conditions either.
[05] If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that.
[06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (6 or less) only a real majority will result in a lynch.
[07] Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Please clearly unvote if you want to change your vote, although I will still count your vote if you don't.
[08] Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again.
[09] Do NOT post in invisible text.
[10] If you know you will not be checking the thread for a period of 72 hours or more, it would be nice if you would post that beforehand.
[11] If you're out of the game, you may come back as substitute - only if you do not talk to other players about the game after your death of course.
[12] The mod is always right. Accept the decisions, and if you want to discuss them, take it to email, or do so after the game has finished.

Backstory

You look around. A barren wasteland surrounds you. Suddenly... a bright light teleports you to the top of a mountain, the only safe place left - Mount Olympus. You look around again... and everyone looks the same!

Gaia, in human form, tells you what happened. Many of her children, including Kronus, Atlas, and others, known as the Gaian Alliance, massacred the planet Earth. Gaia tried as hard as she ould, but she could only save herself and 11 others, but she didn't know who they were, as her magic caused them to transform and look the same. She reaized this had to happen, as they had to fairly find out who was responsible. You all knew it was the Gaian Alliance, but now you couldn't tell if any of the Gaian Alliance survived. But something told you that some of them survived. Gaia then changed her appearance, as she was merely projecting an image of herself with the help of Ouranos. The Gaian Alliance could tell who they were, as they made a blood pact involving something with the River Styx, and they could see each other for who they truly were.

You all knew what you would have to do, as it was law in such a case on Mount Olympus. Who knew the situation would actually happen? You were going to have to cast a vote for whom you thought was responsible, as each being needed to come up with a new alias for the time being. One took the name of another divine being that had been foretold by prophets, "BabyJesus". Some got creative, like "Lauritz Melchior", "JereIC", and "d_rouge". Each being would have to cast a vote for one of those names for who they thought was responsible. But as the beings slept at night, the Gaian Alliance would strike again...




They must be stopped.

Morning 1

The deities woke up the next morning with a bad feeling. The skies had gone dark. They looked around to see what had happened...

The sky hadn't woken that morning.

JereIC (Ouranos) drowned in his sleep.

So, I assume we're not going to find out alignments in day scenes? It does sound like Ouranos was a good guy as, in the backstory of the game; the Mod said that:

Gaia then changed her appearance, as she was merely projecting an image of herself with the help of Ouranos.

I assume that if Ouranos was helping Gaia, that probably makes him a good guy, right?

This could be a problem with later deaths, though; most figures in Greek mythology are rather morally ambiguous, so it could be hard to figure out for sure if we've lynched a good guy or not. I'm already in one game where we don't find out alignment on death, and that makes it a lot harder to figure anything out.

We only had one night kill, so I think that there's either just one mafia group, or a mafia group and an SKer

because I just don't understand what he is talking about. Game-wise, I don't have much to interpret but I think that some names are pretty clear by definition (Zeus, Gaia,...). I'm sure Zeus is in there, but I'm less about Gaia. I also don't think that we will have that many players with clear names though.

That's not how I interpreted that statement at all, BJ. I read that as "I also don't think that we will have that many players with names that will clear them." I think the remainder of Puzzle's post (which you conveniently neglected to quote) supports that conclusion.

Game-wise, I don't have much to interpret but I think that some names are pretty clear by definition

Fuldu, I agree with you on your interpretation of Puzzle's post.

For some reason I seem to be having a lot of trouble with this site. Sometimes the connection is refused, and othertimes it is very slow. Also, some of my posts don't seem to be going through.
