PM a mod who needs a replacement saying that you're willing to replace in. If you're new, I recommend replacing into a comparatively simple game until you get the swing of things around here. There are several Open games on the last page who need replacements for Chrimi, for instance; you can pick a setup you like the look of and PM the mod saying you're willing to take the slot.

/in for replacement or new game

If you want to replace into a game, you should PM the mod of that game to replace in. The replacements queue doesn't go "in order" because it would be very hard to keep track of, and because people have different preferences about which sort of games the play in. (Not to mention, differing experience requirements.)

If you're not sure what sort of game you want to replace into, I recommend an Open or Mini Normal (or Newbie but those aren't handled in this queue); they tend to be simpler and less demanding of the players.

Can I replace in only if the slot is scum? Or is that not allowed? I've been itching for a scum game.

That clearly wouldn't work, especially if you posted it publicly, because people could determine the slot's alignment by whether you replaced in or not. You don't want people going "Ser Arthur Dayne replaced in, he must be scum, autolynch!".

Your best bet is probably to replace into slots that are under pressure, or in setups with a high proportion of scum left (lylo, etc.).

In general, if you think the mod of a game has gone missing, you contact the list mod for the queue the game had its signups in. So if a mod goes missing from a Mini Normal, you contact Papa Zito, but, say, you'd contact singersigner if the mod of a Newbie went missing.
