There isn't a huge backlog of newbies. Newbies are 6 to a game, SEs 2 to a game, ICs 1 to a game. The newbie section is actually pretty depleted, and most SEs play elsewhere on the site, so the queue is pretty much under control at the moment.

You don't

need

to play games in the newbie queue; it's not a requirement, but it's a good way to get the workings of the site, including simple site features that people won't explain off-hand in more advanced games. While I'm sure the offer is appreciated, the ICs actually need to have experience here so that they are familiar with site meta and whatnot.

If you think you should play in a newbie game, do so; it will help you in the long run. Nah I don't think you're supposed to be in two newbie games at once without a completed game under your belt regardless of what the order it happens in is.

Almost correct. It actually extends beyond this queue: if you started your time on MS in, say, a Mini Normal, you can't play a newbie game until you are done with your first game. In other words, your first game on the site (newbie game or not) must be finished before you are accepted into a(nother) newbie game.

Does Bo Know:Newbie games count for Newbie IC experience, you are in the clear.

into a specific game by PMing a moderator who has poste a request for a replacement, but you cannot select a specific game to play in if you just enter the queue:
