I think of mafia as a chess game. Sure, meta and remembering how to play the beginning steps are important, but if you can't think for yourself and just mindlessly throw moves that you read and memorized somewhere, you're not going to be a great chess player. Actually, I had a discussion (not about this game) about Near as a player with another mafiascum player. He told me that to watch out for him especially as a scum player. I actually didn't notice Near as much because of how little content he is putting, as for everyone else who has put barely any conversation. I'm against lynching someone just because they lurk but I would have no problems if there is evidence to back it up.

I honestly wish that our town would be more vocal like me, you, DMS, Inte, and Grey. Near has probably provided very little content this whole entire game and I was hoping sooner or later he(Rach and everyone else who hasn't been posting much) would actually post more but I'll do an ISO on Near.

Theory wise we need to massclaim tomorrow. I did a C9++ a while ago and a massclaim D2 would have basically won the game for town. Unfortunately after I got killed N1 they decided not to massclaim until D3, and then somepony lied about their claim which turned a forced win into a loss...

Either way, if im alive or not you DO massclaim tomorrow, as if its more than just a couple roles for us, it really is going to start semi-clearing players. This is especially true if a non-goon flips or if there is ever evidence (like two kills) of a SK.

Forgive the newbieness here, but how does a massclaim really help us on D2? Wouldn't that just give scum a list of who to kill?

Basically I was one shot vig, didnt shoot (like always, vigging is anti-town), died N1. Town massclaimed D3, if Hikari would have claimed right it would have proven there was a SK and caught the last scum, but he lied, got town mislynched, then himself mislynched and town lost. I wish that one was around because I have a feeling stuff may go down same way here and its a great example of why you massclaim early in this setup amungst other stuff.

As for my views on Near, I'd say somewhere in between null and scum. I wouldn't mind a Near lynch but I'd prefer some pressure first on RachMarie, given her sudden lack of posting compared to earlier in the game.

And as long as we could get like 8 or so people to agree, this should be worth it. I think there are few enough who claimed power roles (5 I think?) that there should be a time for all of us to be on this site at the same time. I am literally available any time. It should only take like 5 minutes, and there shouldn't be any excuse. If we can synchronize our clocks, we should be able to literally send in the claims within 1 sec of each other's claim. I think this could make it impossible for scums to adjust their power roles based on previous claims.

I would say doctor claims on MS (Bit and Near) and JF (DMS). MS is massive threat if he is town. JF becomes more of a threat as the game progresses. Split is so most likely to be real doc (near) is on most valuable role.

Mathematically, I HAVE to assume that there is at least one scum in the PR. If I am wrong, too bad. Less than 0.8% of the time, we will have 7 power roles in this set up. If by some chance we drew exactly 7 P's, too bad. 99.2% of the time, there should be at least one scum among PR (though this number technically changed since 3 PRs flipped town). I would be ecstatic to take this chance.

If you think about Day 1, DLG started the attack on me pretty early because townmap make a possible scum slip that was exploitable. DLG then used that to rally up a possible wagon on me. The wagon grew quick on ol' townmap and townmap started to panic. Townmap tried to fend of the assault of the horde but throughout that whole day, was tunneled by more and more people. With tunneling, even if a person is town, they'll eventually look scummy.

Anyways very shortly after DLG's attack on me, Greywing took this as opportunity to also lead the charge. Greywing wagonned and used full force to attack me that day. If you look at yesterday's posts, they were pretty much all narrowed at me. DLG and/or Greywing knew that they can lynch me extremely easily. If you think about Day 1, DLG started the attack on me pretty early because townmap make a possible scum slip that was exploitable. DLG then used that to rally up a possible wagon on me. The wagon grew quick on ol' townmap and townmap started to panic. Townmap tried to fend of the assault of the horde but throughout that whole day, was tunneled by more and more people. With tunneling, even if a person is town, they'll eventually look scummy.

Anyways very shortly after DLG's attack on me, Greywing took this as opportunity to also lead the charge. Greywing wagonned and used full force to attack me that day. If you look at yesterday's posts, they were pretty much all narrowed at me. DLG and/or Greywing knew that they can lynch me extremely easily. Apparently, the consensus is that we're not going to lynch a claimed doctor today. I suppose Bit can live one more day.

I still think we have two scum in the VT's: Rach, and either Uber or BK. I don't see why people are getting Town reads on Rach. Can someone explain them to me as I'm seeing pretty obvious scum here.

She was playing a lot of other games at that time and not paying attention to the newbie game we were in and she said that her other games had closer deadlines when our game only had a day before Day 1 ended. She's sorta doing the exact same thing here.

I would say doctor claims on MS (Bit and Near) and JF (DMS). MS is massive threat if he is town. JF becomes more of a threat as the game progresses. Split is so most likely to be real doc (near) is on most valuable role.

So, just did some setup analysis for those of us who aren't entirely sure of what's going on .

These letters definitely were drawn during setup:
I (Inte.)
H (JD.)
R (McStab.)
PPP (Johnny, and two of Near/Gunny/Bit...most likely the first two.)

That leaves one letter which is either another P (if none of our PRs are lying) or a T (if one of the docs are lying.) That leaves us with one of two scum setups:

1 T = Mafia Goon, Mafia 1-Shot Bus Driver, Mafia JOAT, Serial Killer
0 Ts = Mafia Goon, Mafia 1-Shot Bus Driver, Mafia JOAT

The JOAT has a Roleblock, Ninja Kill and a Strongman Kill. Assuming again that Bit's telling the truth and that he protected McStab, the Strongman Kill is probably used up. McStab was most likely scum's #1 priority, and I can't see them using the Roleblock on Bit as it ran the risk of another Doc thwarting the kill. So, they still have Roleblock, Ninja Kill, and the Bus Driver on the table.

tl;dr: If there is an SK, Bitmap is lying and should be lynched. If there is not an SK, Bitmap is probably telling the truth and should be left alone is what Greywing is trying to say. There is still a possibility that both the mafia and theoretical SK targeted McStab causing the Strongman Kill not be used.

Do you think this is likely? I think I mentioned this before, but the likelihood of this happening is so theoretical that we can ignore this. I mean, do you assume scums to almost waste their kill by targeting the person who is most likely to be protected by claimed 3 doctors? Are you like scum who knows that one or more doctors are scums??

Consider it this way, Near. I'm a null read at this point to town but scum knows I am town. Why would they need to kill me? All they need to do is frame me and I would just get lynched and they would get an extra day to kill.
