Other than that, probably just more frequent vote counts. I wasn't sure if you did one once a day or not, but it felt like it was a long time in between vote counts.
I didn't do flavor because I thought it'd be smarter to avoid that in my first newbie; not to mention the reaction of most of the players in my last modded game was "newbies will get confused". I agree more or less. I plan on adding more flavor to games I mod in the future, but for these early ones - particularly newbies - I'm going to try and keep things simple. I wish I had done some Pokemon flavor, though... Just 'cause Pokemon and all.
I just tried to do one once every page. Anything more than that is repetitive. I did miss a few pages, though.
Thanks for the feedback!

Smash, meet Myko.
↑ Smashbard wrote:Also, don't have so many damned experienced players taking up newbie slots in a newbie game. lol. I'm kidding but I mean sheesh. Guys like Myko, Nacho, Trollie & Riot should all be scumhunting in the big league games. Not causing newbs like myself to sweat bullets. lol.
That was exactly my thought process, but meh. A replacement is a replacement is a replacement. It would have been nice to have more newbies so they could learn the ropes and such, but the more experienced players always make games exciting, so.

Please don't do this. Activity is literally the best thing you can do regardless of alignment. Don't blame activity for the reasoning people thought you were scum; blame the content. Go back and look at why people called you out. No one called you out for being too active. There were things you said or did that didn't look townish. Learn from those mistakes and fix them. You can even take this knowledge and apply it to your town meta, too. The best way to be scum is to just forget you're scum. Don't look at things as, "I shouldn't say that as scum." Look at it as, "I shouldn't say that."

), a couple of days in a newbie game teach you everything it can teach you, really. Newbies are there to give you a bit of a feel for the game, but can't really teach you that much more. That's what happens soon enough in mini normals, mini themes or micros. You get to know people and that helps with getting better. It also helps just to get more real games under your belt, the more you play, the better you get.
And don't be nervous. You'd fit right in with the rest here.
Newbies are totally fun and still teach me things!
There's nothing wrong with continuing to play them.
