Snake, I'm not understanding your suspicion of Mutley. Didi put a vote on Mutley during RVS to blackmail him into getting an avatar. When Mutley got an avatar, Didi removed his vote as he promised to do when he made the vote in the first place.

I got suspicous because Mutley could just have waited if Didi unvotes without asking.
But he asked for it and after Didi unvoted he says that Didi is easily swayed, that is what rubbed me wrong.

You said that Mutley's eagerness to have a vote taken off him was what made him suspicious, not the "Didi is easily swayed" comment. I'm personally suspicious of Mutley for different reasons, but I'd like to wait for Xiao Long and Kingpin to comment on the game before pointing any fingers.

There's nothing wrong with joking around in a game of mafia! But you've been asked a couple of questions and have been making funny comments in lieu of answering them, which isn't very helpful. To reiterate: a) were you threatened by Didi's vote on you, and b) what did you mean by the comment about him "being easily swayed"?

Not in particular, though of course people who know eachother's allegiance to be the same are more likely to stick up for eachother, and right now that's only the mafia.

Some scumpairs stick up for each other and prevent each other from being lynched. But knowing that, some scumpairs instead try to distance themselves from each other so that if one slips up and is lynched, the other one won't come under suspicion.

Actually, I have a pair of questions for you, Didi: what do you mean by "right now", and what sides are there to be on?

Right there is never going to be a lot to go on day 1. Mafia unlikely to slip up as they will know who they are and be careful on what they say. Obviously. If I had to pick, I would go with a choice of 4 at the moment. The slimer. MP5, snake and kingpin. No real suspicious though, could have easily have just random generated those and got as good a guess.

There's no way this could possibly be construed as an answer to any of the questions asked of you. Perhaps I should ask again.

MP5's case against Xiao is pretty flimsy, if you ask me... There's simply absolutely nothing to go on with Xiao as of post 42. I've seen people say that excitement over having their first mafia game is a scumtell, but I don't think that's enough to warrant a scumread.

In the first game I played here (which just finished up, incidentally), on D1, one player's playstyle was aggravating a couple of other townies. The scum then made a case against the player and had him lynched. I think there's a distinct possibility that MP5 is scum and trying to start a bandwagon against the most irritating player.

But I'm far more confident in my read on Mutley.

Also: worth pointing out that Mutley is at L-1 and that no one should vote for him until someone expresses intent to hammer. Regardless of Mutley's alignment, ending D1 less than a week into the game isn't going to give the town the info we need going into the next day.

Reads, Mut is confirmed town in my book. I love his responses. So arrogant and stubborn. Scum is NEVER like this. Not in my experience. Scum is fickle and trying to look good. ALWAYS. Mut isn't scum. He's not afraid to say no. This makes him look so shit to everyone but soo town to me.

After rereading his ISO, I've come to the conclusion that Mutley is more likely than not scum.

Just because you want a straight up answer isn't my fault also shown by just common sense why would I be threatened by a first vote? Secondly I called him easily swayed because he did as I said even if it was because he said he would. Hence pointless they could have been answered by anyone or by using your own common sense.

What bothered me about Mutley's early posts wasn't really their content. It was their tone. I don't mean his anger-- his early posts were mostly devoid of anger or rash judgment or whatever you want to say about them now. No, what bothered me about his early posts is that all of them seemed to have some level of sarcasm to them.

Sarcasm isn't necessarily an indicator of scumminess, but it does benefit scum to have their posts worded in a jokey fashion. If you make a post that proves incriminating later on, you can negate it with an Obviously That Was A Joke or something. I didn't really care how you answered the questions I asked, as long as you didn't just try to back out of the statement by saying that it shouldn't have been taken seriously... which you then promptly did.

Why would I claim something though? I would only be helping the mafia by possibly getting town roles out in the open on day 1, how would that help? I'd like to clarify what I mean by not learn anything, I mean nothing can be set it stone day 1. It is only till day 2 that we can possibly try and confirm what we think we learnt or throw it out. I don't mind being the first guy gone. It will hopefully as I say help you learn more for day 2. Ie look more into yours and xegs posts here. (don't think both are mafia) I'm sure when the day ends, 1 mafia will be voting me and 1 won't.

Yes there are a lot of ways to play, mine is usually troll day 1 maybe day 2. Then I get good reads by the end of day 2.

First part of the quote is interesting for reasons we'll see later. Second part of the quote strikes me as bandwagoning disguised as OMGUS, given the timing-- sheeping Spadille would look suspicious, but voting for someone because they called you a cunt looks like bad play.

I have to agree with xiao. While not impossible i don't think xiao and kingpin are both scum. If they are it would be a bit obvious? However that can also be a ploy, sometimes it's so obvious it can't be true! So they could be playing that angle.

Basically I think the odds of Mutley being scum are still pretty good-- good enough that I'm willing to keep my vote on him. The Didi wagon is interesting but I need to reanalyze his posts before making a decision on it.

I love your questioning on my post 149 voodoo. Mainly because you say I has clearly stated I was vanilla. However all the posts at the time were from xiao and xeg asking for a claim!! It shows ISOing posts can take out context. But also you must have thought I'd claimed vanilla from my ISO. Which is at the time what I thought I had too, hence some of my answers in the next few posts. This is why I love it.

You already claimed you weren't a power role, and since no sane scum would tell the truth about their alignment, we can assume that makes you vanilla town. Since you had already claimed and town typically do not forget if and what they've claimed, there was no reason for you to be so defensive w/r/t your role when Xeg and Xiao questioned you.
