Hello everyone, this is my second newbie game i participate. Second and a half game if i count the first game i replaced in and a few days later replaced out because of health issues. I believe to remember that slimer was one of the players in that game, so hi slimer, the only one i recognize =)

I should mention that i'm german and most of my knowledge in english language came through watching subbed animes/english movies and series. Always feel free to correct me in spelling and grammar. I suspect that i will often confuse german and english grammar/sentence-building and hope in playing this game to also to further deepen my understanding of the english language. this means i appreciate positive input about my posts regarding my writing/spelling (minor things please after the game, huge mistakes earlier if possible..) The hardest will be the use of capital and small initial letters, in german we write many words with capital letters and i'm more used to never use any outside of business emails.

MP5 wrote:Hard to tell who is more likely to be Mafia out of a voodoo lady and a snake, but going on a hunch here.

Now you gave me a picture of my Diablo 3 Voodoo Priestes and her offhand-snake. And because diablo 3 was a grindfest a couldn't enjoy..

@Didi - Hello, yes you are right. After the 5. Vote (or how many are needed at that day) the lynch is happening and nobody can unvote. i think the phase between the lynchvote and votecount is called twillight, so after the last vote it's allowed to post until the Mod locks the thread for the night.

Hm i see a vote because somebody is missing an avatar still as a random vote.
"to vote for a reason" means for me suspicion of scum, other than that it is rv, especially Page 1. At least in my eyes it is.

For me it was more interesting that Mutley was so eager to get the vote off him.
Why so afraid of one random vote Mutley?

I didn't guess, i asked something and you didn't answer it.

Snake, I'm not understanding your suspicion of Mutley. Didi put a vote on Mutley during RVS to blackmail him into getting an avatar. When Mutley got an avatar, Didi removed his vote as he promised to do when he made the vote in the first place.

I got suspicous because Mutley could just have waited if Didi unvotes without asking.
But he asked for it and after Didi unvoted he says that Didi is easily swayed, that is what rubbed me wrong.

Yes i wanted to see what Mutley answered without giving him an answer for him(aka the blackmail thing) before i ask about the sway-thing.
But after you questioned me and mentioned the blackmail that wasn't going to work anymore.

Because i was so confused about that RVS stuff i read anothter more detailed guide about it.
I thought we shouldn't build random wagons until someone seems suspicious. Now i'm more inclined to build wagons to create reactions and content.
Right now it's a slow game and i think part of it is that we have 5 people with one vote and nobody has more.
Please correct me if this is a total stupid idea (looking at you IC and SEs)
In that sense

If you don't want to participate, join me and joke around with them.
I think it starts the game just fine, to tell you truth. Better than flat out calling someone scum and it having absolutely no effect.

Yeah i think i should have waited to try this for my next new game. This morning i replaced in another game and there the IC advocated what i tried here (the guide i mentioned was in his sig). So while i was reading that game to catch up i thought it would be a good idea to try this approach here. Time was running out before i had to leave home and i gave this "good idea" not much second thought. I now see how to tell what i will try before i do it wasn´t the optimal approach. At least i have another ICs opinion on RVS, thanks for that.
that leaves me with a bunch of null tells, i hate this game in such moments.

Didi wrote:Maybe you didn't see it because it was at the bottom of my post, but I'll ask it again:

FSnake, whose side are you on?

I'm town. But wouldn't scumMe say the same thing?

MP5 wrote:@FSnake - we've left RVS now. You still happy with your vote?

I voted Xiao in my not thought through plan only because he had a vote on him and annoyed me a little bit with his post-formats. Now you made me think about his "is this a reaction test" questions and i'm happy with my vote staying on him until i get better reads. The only other one i got a bad gut-feeling is Mutley and he wanted to post later, perhaps i change my mind then.

my other reads right now...xer-didi back and forth seems like to townies to me. but i read a few weeks ago a game where xer was participating and i remembered him to say what he thinks, maybe this influences me there.

Slimer - null, with a little distrust based on my little experience. was really mislead in the game i replaced out by Thor as SE-scum (altough i asked for replacement i obviously followed the game to finish and never would have put Thor as scum)

KP - not much there, town motivated start in the day and away for the rest of the time. but i was the same in my first game and would probably still be more quiet if i hadn't came to the resolve that only reading and posting one post a day isn't going to make me better at scumhunting. overall null for me

Voodoo - until her last post i was slightly leaning town, but the "Whoops" in her explanation about posting an hour later and not seeing Didi respond makes it null again. somehow i don't like this post about being away for an hour and posting without checking, but it's not enough to make me think she is scum.

MP5 - leaning town, but i fell for arguments-walls of the wrong guy before and put my vote (in this case let it stay) where his was. trying to be cautious

Mutley - not much there, the first one i got suspicous off but awaiting the answers he promised.

@xiao - Perhaps you did't understand Didis post about your post-format because it looks on your device like your own post. Your formatting is bad because your sentences break in a new column after 3-5words, really annoying to read. What device are you using to post?

p-edit: i read KPs concern about MP5 and it strongens my believe to be cautious about him, but i have to go for now and will think about it when i'm back (probably tomorrow)

I believe this is policy lynching, correct?
Not a good reason.

*snip*

Do you think you could
come up with a real reason
for voting for me?

No the first time I voted you was an RVS thing were i failed at trying something which i shouldn’t have tried from the start. nowhere there i talk about lynching, i wanted to build wagons/start discussions. from the people which had one vote i choose you, because of your formating. after that i was quite happy to let my vote stay on you because i thought MP5 had a point that you seemed dodgy with your “is this a reaction test?”-reactions. mutley was at this point scummier to me but he said he will answer the questions when he has the time. In that moment i was happy to let my vote sit on you. it’s a longer story why i suddenly went V/LA, had i known i wouldn’t be able to post for four days i would have unvoted you back then. you asking to replace mutley was shady at first, but i can get behind replacing someone if it means we can practice to invastigate more like you explained later.
(could somebody experienced definition a policy lynch to me, i often read the term in different circumstances. like lynch all liars or lynch somebody anti-town even if it is not expected that he will flip scum and now because of my reasoning about post formats. thanks in advance)

theslimer3 wrote:
I have no idea what this just said. I'm not making fun of you if English isn't your native language, but could you rephrase this please?

I meant to say that I had misjudged an IC before and although you are a null tell i will always have this one game in mind. But I changed my mind a little bit over this the last days. (About my english, if somebody thinks my bad english is hurting the game I will ask to be replaced. I want to enjoy this and so do you all. I don’t want to burden you all because I think I can get better in english while playing)

Xegarus wrote:
Mind if i ask which game this was?

sorry for calling you xer before, i thought i spotted an “r” in there. the game was Newbie1322. but you were also in some micros if i remember right.

it’s was many times mentioned now that differenet people act different, but then i will struggle only more to build reads. i have to compare everybody to the things i know to a certain level.
xeg you say scum isn’t so stubborn and arrogant in your experience. i played with two really stubborn and arrogant people that were scum, so this wouldn’t mean town to me like it does to you. but while i don’t love his responses like you do this time it speaks town to me too
i hate when people play anti-town and claim later it will help because we can analyse the wagon. unfortunatly you (mutley) aren’t confirmed town until you die or a cop investigates you, so analysing the wagon could actually help scum. all that trolling allowes scum to hide in midst of town while everybody looks at you.

hello everybody. i realised today that i’m just not suited for this kind of game. i like strategy and intelectual games but i have a hard time to be aggresive or to be investigative because i feel always like insulting someone. i appreciate that i had the possibility to try mafiascum in the newbie section and don’t want to angry someone by quiting midgame. but i think my playing along after i lost the motivation i had last week would be worse to the other new players that really like to play the game. everything said, i enjoy reading games and see games develop from an outsider view. i will follow this game to the end and others in the future. you won’t see me, but i will be watching =)
perhaps some day i will decide to try it again but not in the foreseeable future. again thank you everyone and sorry.
