So you all finally concluded that i would be flaking... LOL, I would never flake, or replace out or self hammer myself nor play against win condition. See my records!!!!!! Its just i am in too many games and i have gotten behind with few :P But don't ask me why. I enjoy it in this way.
But again, Sorry for keep you guys waiting a bit...

Firstly, All of you note that this is a cult game which makes Cult has highest possibility of winning this game as in when the days increase, I am saying this out of my personal experience. I have played Mainstream mafia before with a 9 player setup.

Since we are 5.. there is only one Cult Leader and 4 townies. If we mislynch on Day 1 and Cult makes a successful recruit in the night, they win as they control the 50 % votes. So don't rush in lynching anyone one on Day1, we have to handle this very carefully. let's not push anyone's lynch out of assumptions. Remember once again that this is not normal mafia for scum hunt, you have to apply a strategic process to get hold of it.

If you ask me what we can we do with out a mislynch on night one? we can always "no lynch" becuz that would give us another day in the game.

And TBH, I am quite surprised with the Governor setup in this game. (seriously, what were you thinking CHK)
Anywayz, It doesn't matter who becomes governor as we don't know the anyone's alignment for sure.

All we could see the potential danger and impact if this power is on wrong hands. If a cult leader gets hold of Governor vote, He/She stops his lynch on Day 1 or Day 2, so "that's BIG" no.... We can't afford to have cult leader gaining the "GOVERNOR" ability.

SO, I happen to see someone doing some sort of Softclaim that proves that they are town..?
Whoever that is, can you confirm us if you're the Town IC? Becuz i am tending to believe that there is a high possibility of IC in this game(bec of the setup), If you're the IC ...then i have good plan...

And also i would like every to MASS CLAIM their roles and powers... becuz it might help narrow down the CL or his follower in day after based on the night actions...

I am sorry candillan, you could be town but i just want to make sure that we do this in right way so that this town don't handover the Governor ability straight to the cult leader

I really wish i could comment on each of the posts you guys made especially TIP posts.. dude.. there were so many flaws in your posts but its okay, you get hold of this in no time. :)

Small correction here.. Cult Leader can't stop his/her lynch on day 1 phase..
but he could do use it on his recruit.

Becuz I rather want to handover the governor ability to town IC, that would be safest way to know that its not ending up in wrong hands.

We need to mass claim today before we knew who we are giving authority to stop lynches.. this could also help us seeing if CL is faking about their role info or not. Remember again.. If we mislynch, CL wins this game with a successful night recruit , if we go for no lynch, we will be in lylo on Day 2

there are variations in setup process... but it depends on MOD. Since that CHK didn't give us much information about setup.
Its possible that Cult followers would be powerless.

Mod, Can you confirm if Cult Leader manage to recruit a cultist, can a cultist is able to re-recruit someone?



But i don't know why we even talking about this..i don't think this game go that long considering the amount of players is actually less.

Good point, and if that's the case then I have no problem with your plan. If we lynch the CL, the recruit can't recruit others, right?
Let's see if there is any IC in the game.. If they are.. they would probably be 1-shot IC as the game didn't open with a confirmed IC.

Doc, you need to give me a better explanation than this for not agreeing with the MASS Claim.

Have you played Cult games before? Did you play the Mainstreme Mini mafia? Chkflip games?
He doesnt' give you the roles that are not in the Mafia wiki list. that is something i can bet on...

And about your point 1, Yes I agree. Cult will be fake claiming his/her role info today but the main reason why we need this information is not just to learn about their actions or fake claims notes but more as in understand who they are fake/real and handover the governer position to someone who may have most viable claim that some how can be validated on tomorrow's phase so that we would know for sure that it is not given to wrong hands.

Please don't try to base your reads in this game through some sort of scum hunting, remember that we are only 5 players in this game. 1 mislynch means mostly the game is ended. So, we will have to walk through all the possible directions and choose the best one.

and i am not denying anything you said so far, they are good points and indeed valid but remember with our without MASS claim, it wouldn't make anydifference.. I ll explain how.

Despite any power role claim, if a player is once recruited by cult leader means that player looses all his town power actions and will become CULT. Cult don't have night kills, they just increase their strength on each night.

Who already said his town can be verifiable and i want to know how.. If there is way that his town status can be verifiable, I rather want to handover governer to him than someone else on assumptions, which will likely increase our oppurtunity in taking down the Cult on Day 1

and having list of claims from each of them, we can try balancing out which one sounds realistic and which one are not. Becuz, there is always a pattern to the way that PR roles are given to player in order to balance the fair win condition for both the parties. Example, If Cult Leader claims Doc and someone claims bodygaurd. That's too much in 5P game.. so that willl helps us narrow down the CL search between both the claims.

Eitherways, there are no disadvantages with the claims as even after the recruit, CL follower will not be able to use their powers anymore.

Let me do this one more time... I ll do the way that i tutor my math students...

What happens if Cult Leader gets the Governer power?
Nothing. He/She can't use it on them unless if there was no lynch on Day1, and it can be used to save his/her follower

but how beneficial this Governer power?
Again, it doesn't really make much difference to town unless Cult Leader jumps for a quick vote. Remember that this only stop a lynch. I really doubt Cult Leader would be stupid enough to jump out himselves and behave in that way.

so what can we do now?
Cult Hunt? and Nail cult?
No, We are not going to assume and nail down someone becuz they behaved cultish way, becuz 1 mislynch + night recruit equals Game lost.

What helps in this situation?
knowing who is nearly confirmed town, especially players like "Who" who soft claimed that his role may be verifiable. This way we would know that he is confirmed town and thus chances of nailing down the Cult on Day 1 increases...

What more can we do?
Mass claim, Mass claim out all given town roles.. town claims what they received in their role PM's, Cult fakes... We look the setup balance and nails down cult leader.

What if we can't nail down cult leader even after the mass claim?
Fine, Then we will have to evaluate our night actions carefullly to see if we can somehow stop cult leader being recruited someone. there is a good possiblity of very powerful PR's in this game otherwise this whole setup is nothing but CULT sided.

i said enough about mass claim. what do kind plan that you have that will ascertain possible. your denial is very suspicious. its like you're not even trying to understand. But that's not how i am trying to look today becuz there is no room for town to make any sort of errors and can get away with it.. my point is why do you don't want to have mass claim is a question?

And remember, finding right governor doesn't help win this game..you need to find CL.
and Mr TIP, i do see your point. At this moment i am tending to believe that it is only one CL and 4 town aligned players due to the size of the game. there won't be two cult leaders even in a 9p game. If chk had two anti town parties got involved into this game.. then it would perhpas be a wolf. So incase cult try to recruit wolf, he dies.. then it will be wolf VS town.. there could be numerous variations that i could give you but it will be too confusing right now. our best shot is "Mass claim" which will help in many ways.. I am not understanding why someone of you are against mass claim in a game like this... and DOC, you gotta stop being a stuborn. seriously. if you're town, let me tell you that youre being very anti-town. and if you're cult, i would say..not doing so bad for yourself but will get you for sure.

The Wiki says..
The Executioner is a role designed to stop mass roleclaiming. Working similar to a vigilante,
the executioner is able to kill a person who has acquired half-the required lynch votes on a given day. Typically speaking, this ends the day and begins the night phase.
The Executioner may be either town or mafia,
but is traditionally a mafia role.
Depending on the game, this kill may or may not count as a lynch, so it may or may not be subject to a governor's pardon.
Also the executioner is usually prohibited from using this ability during consecutive days, or can only use it a certain number of times in the game. It doesn't work against bulletproof individuals, and a bomb hit by an execution blows up the executioner.
I found few interesting theories on Wiki page about Executioner. Firstly I no longer believe that your role could be verifiable becuz, Executioner can also be a mafia role, considering that town has Governer ability, I am leaning to believe that there may be a high possiblity that WHO could be the mafia Cult Leader with an Executioner ability.

Now I actually feel this setup makes more sense.... Imagnie what is the use of GOVERNER? If the players all decided to wagon up and lynch a player. Why would CL does quick hammer someone and makes him/her as obvious suspect? But an Executioner can always PM MOD and cause an execution which can only be stopped by GOVERNER. This is a perfect balance.

Don't be stuborn please, and listen to me carefully. Becuz I am a town player. and it should makes sense to you about WHO's soft claim on Day zero that his role could be verified, this way he was trying to earn the town cred so that he won't be the lynch target.

I know Chk very well.. I was so confused and angry with the setup at the begining when he said that we need to elect a GOVERNOR, QWhy the hell we need Governor in this game when this is a cult setup??? It just doesn't make sense to me. Its not like Cult leader would be idiot enough to jump in and quick hammer some one , Isn't it?

the obvious GOVERNOR play in this game is to stop the unexpected Executioner KILL.

And WHO planned it so well that if he could convince Town that some how he could have town believe him that it is poosibel to verify his role as town, Town will end up mislynching someone. Who wouldn't win this game just by executing, He needs another kill or recruit..

And His plan is to execute and call up a mislych while he can be shadown himself in the fake town reference...

And the only reason Who couldn't execute me.. A) I haven't reach the half a votes yet B) and if executes me withoug town's approval, Governor can stop the execution and he knew he would get lynched right away..

you want to read the below.. the bold is exactly is what stated in my profile that it may be possible that i might end giving my an additional PR to CL, in those case i wouldn't know what it does to them... and it also makes sense to me that your fisher man role likely possible in this game along with the Inventor.
Setup-wise, an Inventor fills the same niche that a Jack of All Trades does: they are less powerful, but more versatile, than other equivalent power roles because the gadgets that they give out are one-shot.
However, an Inventor is usually weaker than an equivalent Jack of All Trades. This is a combination of both the possibility that an Inventor gives a gadget to the Mafia instead of Town, and the fact that an Inventor may not know the effect of the gadget they are giving.

Inventors that are not False are confirmable upon their claim, especially if they have given Inventions to multiple living players.
