- All votes must be in bold format: vote: Nexus for example.
- Try to unvote before voting. Unvotes must also be in bold.
- Any and all votes will be counted, if you wish to waste a day phase voting for someone not in the game,that's fine by me.
- You may vote No Lynch.
- Voting tricks are not acceptable. If you misspell someone's name intentionally, but I get the gist of it, the vote will count.
- A lynch will occur once a majority decision is reached. If no majority is reached by deadline, then no lynch shall occur.
- Following a lynch, it is twilight. You may continue to post until I lock the thread and declare it night.
- If you have a Night Action, you may submit it from Night 1 and each subsequent Night. No other time.


- You are expected to post at least once every 48 hours. If you haven't posted for 48 hours, I shall prod you. If you do not respond to the prod within 48 hours (either in thread if it's Day, or via PM during the Night) then I will replace you.
- Similarly, if you require more than three prods, I will force-replace you.



- Confirm by how your Role PM tells you to once you are ready to play. Once there are 17 confirms, the game begins.
- Do not edit your posts.
- No impossible/hard to read text, or cryptography.
- The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
- If there is a hydra in the game, you must not post in your normal account. Doing so and then not quoting it as a hydra will invite a warning. Excessive failure to post as a hydra and not quoting it will result in force-replacement.
- If you need to get the mod's attention, either PM me, or bold the text you wish to draw to my attention.
- I reserve the right to alter/remove/add any rules as I see fit. You will, of course, be notified if that happens, however.

Each Newbie Game will be given a setup that incorporates either one row or one column. The remaining six roles will be filled in by mafia goons and vanilla townies appropriately, to create a 2-mafia and 7-town setup. For example Row 1 (1 jailkeeper, 1 vanilla townie, 1 mafia goon) would add an additional 5 vanilla townies and 1 mafia goon, for a total setup of 1 jailkeeper, 6 vanilla townies, and 2 mafia goons.

Cynical lurking!

That was a fast start. But still seemed quite random.

I will tell you something about my game style so you won't be confused. First of all I live in Finland so when you'r playing this game I'am most likely sleeping. That means that I cannon engage in dialog type of discussion. Instead of dialog I write longer posts where I summarize my thoughts what have happened. I will do this once or twice a day max.

Second thing is my Scummometer (tm). Because I like to build cases and summarize things I use Scummometer (tm) in all my posts to give my current reads. I believe that town shouldn't ever lie or even hide information because more information we have easier it's to find the scums. If you openly give your reads other people might notice something they missed and we can more openly discuss on theories.

Uncharacteristically of me I will vote for VOTE: Debonair Danny DiPietro just because his name is a bitch to write.

Also I will be celebrating Midsummer night here in Finland for duration of the weekend so I will be V/LA till Monday.

I completely forgot to mention that I use UTC+1 (UTC+2 now, because it's summer). So at least three of us use non-American time (Z7-852 UTC+3 now, Smudger UTC+4)

Oi, to head off questions of this nature: I respond to nearly any variation of my name from the full thing to DDD, Danny to DDDP to "Hey, you" as long as I know that I'm the "Hey, you" you're referring to. As the IC, I'm here to answer questions and provide some order to the game while also playing the game. If you have some question not related directly to your role (those questions should be sent to Nexus) feel free to ask them. It is much better to ask a question than to blunder and hurt the town accidentally.

Other than that, you get out of this game what you put in. So if you want to have fun, come in with a positive attitude, don't take any debate, arguments, or accusations personally and just pretend it's Pat Benetar and give it your best shot. I think experience is the best teacher and so unless otherwise prompted I'll be playing the game the same as the rest of you.

If we are talking time zones I am living in the UAE (Dubai) and am currently 4 hours ahead of GMT.
