To join the queue to mod, do I need to be here for 3 months total, or just at the time of the mod starting be at 3 months? I'm 5 days away from meeting the 3 months requirement, and my game will not be starting by then...so I'd like to in for that.

Greetings, townsmen and townswomen! I am your humble moderator for this edition of a Mini Normal Mafia Game. Please familiarize yourself with my rules ahead of time, 'spoilered' below. I will, however, highlight a few things:

1. This game has NOT been approved for balance. Please join at your own risk.
   
   
2. There is a high expectation of activity. Days are only 8 days long and Nights are 48 hours long.
   
   
3. Prods will be dished out every 36 hours. A replacement will be sought 24 hours after a prod or if it has been 36 hours since a player's last post and the player has already been prodded twice.
   
   
4. I might have a little fun with the vote counts (nothing that will affect or reveal the game state, of course), so be prepared for a little sugar, spice, and everything groovy.

The Five Pillars

The basics. If you're following these five things, you're golden. If you do not follow these five 'pillars,' then you may be subject to in-game consequences like forced-replacement or modkilling, or site-wide consequences like bans.

1. This is a game.
   Have fun! But do so in the spirit of the game - respect others' freedom to have fun!
   
2. Common sense reigns supreme.
   Anything not covered explicitly in the rules should be able to be filled by your own common sense. If anything isn't clear or you find a loophole somehow or if you have any questions whatsoever, don't hesitate to PM me!
   
3. Don't be intentionally annoying.
   Similarly to the above pillars,
   share
   your fun with others, rather than having fun
   at the expense
   of others. If you're especially peeved, consider taking a step away from the computer for a bit or PM me if you have a serious issue with someone or something.
   
4. Make sure you're familiar with the Site Rules and Guidelines.
   This site is privately owned, so if you don't follow their rules, you should expect a swift and appropriate consequence, though if you're following the above pillars, you should be fine anyway.
   
5. Familiarize yourself with my game rules.
   There may be new or different stuff than what you're used to, especially if the game is non-standard.

General Game Rules

1. I suck. I make mistakes/poor decisions, etc. Please correct me if you feel I am wrong! If you have anything that you want me to see in the thread, be sure to put a bolded

   - basically, this helps me see your comment and that it's directed at me. Other ways of getting my attention are fine, just don't be obtrusive or annoying, and do so at the risk of my not seeing it.
   
2. Games have Day and Night phases with a Day start unless otherwise stated in the Game-Specific Rules.
   
3. An in-game Day will last
   8 days
   . An in-game Night lasts
   48 hours
   . If a majority is not reached before the deadline, it is a No Lynch. Deadline extensions may occur when deemed appropriate.
   
4. A majority of votes is required for a lynch (or "No Lynch").
   
5. Votes must be
   bolded
   by using either of the following methods:

   If you do not vote in either way, it is up to me to determine whether or not I count the vote, so "fake-vote" at your own risk.
   
6. Prods will be dished out after
   36 hours
   of inactivity.
   24 hours
   after a prod, if the prodded player has not posted, a replacement request will be submitted. A replacement request will also be submitted if a player has not posted in 36 hours after already receiving 2 prods. (Obviously, marked V/LAs are immune from this.)
   
7. Do not post in the game thread after being 'killed.' There will be a dead thread. Be sad there.
   
8. I reserve the right to force-replace, modkill, or take any action on any player at any point without warning. I also reserve the right to change anything in the rules at any point without warning.

Game-Specific Rules

These are special rules that apply to this particular game.

1. This is a Normal Game, and thus has no special rules.
   
2. Any flavor used by the moderator is not intended to divulge any information about the game state.

The List Mods are figuring it out; no worries. I won't be doing anything until I get my confirmed player list by a moderator, since I won't be able to set anything up (i.e. won't have mod powers for the Little Italy forum) until then anyway. Gives people an opportunity to drop out between now and then if they find they don't have the time.
