It’s probably confirmation bias from knowing how this ends but how the hell were you reading TIP as anything more than his usual incompetent self in the first many pages?

In post 87, Saki wrote:and i hate textwalls. never read 'em
I agree, unfortunately this is also great scum cover.

In post 120, Jabberwock wrote:Or, to put it in other words, you're doing a boring "haha reaction test" backpedal.
You know I think I’ve made arguments like this far more as scum than I have as town because the “haha reaction test” backpedal has basically no correlation with scum in my book but it certainly sounds good.

~~

The sound from LLD’s link in 126 did not mash up well with Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven. And her link in 132 didn’t go well with The Smith’s This Charming Man either. And DTMaster’s 134… you people post the worst links.

Oh god, there are blue numbers, fuck.

So yeah, I have basically no interest in a Saki lynch. On the other hand I have lots of interest in this.

I think I get a town-vibe from you so far
You mean other than (jokingly?) suggesting you look for relational tells on an unflipped player and also (jokingly?) advocating stretching the day after you've got the lynch you want? Yeah I don't like either of those positions being advocated even if not seriously.
In post 604, Purpkin wrote:I think that post is pretty town though...

DDD, I why do you think the hammer is more likely to happen from Andrius-scum over Andrius town?

moreso, what do you think of rest of the wagon?
Andrius' title comes from his breadcrumbing, something which requires subtlety and tact to pull off. Furthermore, he clearly read the entire game prior to his post given he quoted extensively from it. Do I think a player who has some modicum of skill and a perchance for subtle plays and clearly knew that TIP was heavily voted "accidentally" hammered? I don't think so. I think it's much more likely that he saw a free and easy lynch that he could get with no risk of it falling apart due to claim because of a claim and minimal risk because both it was an "accident" and he's a relatively persuasive player and look he was right in his assessment because it took until a replacement to make an issue of it. Also look at his posts afterwards they read to me as much more the classic scum going "oh damn, scum killed our doctor" commenting on the flip than they read how I would react if I had committed that mistake.

In post 627, Purpkin wrote:also, Being aware of the game-state, and being aware of one-self are two different things. if andrius's title was gained from the fact that he is good at being subtle, it shows that he has high self-awareness, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he has high game-state awareness. Yes, it's obvious that he read the game, but while catching up I don't think one bothers to even check how many times one is voted. I sure as hell know I don't, and it looked completely accidental from my POV.

I also don't think that Scum-andy would have spent so much time trying to see how everyone viewed him based on his hammer, or if he did He wouldn't be so obvious about it.

also, you going to address that second sentence?
1) Except there's no reason he shouldn't have been aware of the game state given that this entire thing comes in one big catch-up post with quotes running from beginning up to that point.

2) Wait, scum wouldn't care about the perception it gave? Yeah, that's not even close to being right. Your argument towards "wouldn't be so blatant" is comparatively a decent argument except personally I've started doing things like that as scum that are super blatant to draw that perception and if I'm doing it then rest assured other competent players are doing it.

3) If I feel like, maybe, at some point.

Dearest Andrius,

You don't have to write your posts in ye olde English but if you insist on writing like you've been instructed to type at the Prosimian School for WORDS AND STUFF I will be forced to ignore you and assume the position I've taken about your scumness is correct. Perhaps that is your desire but if it is not, you know how to get in touch with me.

Sincerely.

Saki votes look like they're voting a anti-town player not a scum player; Sakura is more open to argument but I mostly feel the same way about it.

In post 676, Sakura Hana wrote:@DDD: If you think Saki's an easy lynch then what do you think about Jabberwock who convinced me about the possibility of Saki being scum?
As far as I can tell Jabberwock's argument is a single post where Saki asks another player if they'd accept a meta-read from a player Saki claimed a scum-read on.

If we were to pretend Saki is a better player I would make the argument that even is Saki thought you were scum that your meta-read would have to be accurate because if you were deceptive that would confirm Saki's read of scum or increase the number of people reading Saki as town. If we assume Saki is as bad as I think Saki is then it's certainly that Saki ignored the fact that scum could or would lie about such a basic thing but Saki-town sees Saki-town and expects everyone else to. Those aren't the only possible options but they're certainly viable town causes of the single post that Jabberwock objected to.

I'm with LLD in that I don't find meta that compelling outside my own experiences and while Saki's pity party makes me want him stabbed to death out of sheer hate it's something I read as town. And I'm reading LLD as town hard. My stance on Andrius has softened somewhat because I saw a fair amount of decent stuff in one of his posts a while back, still not thrilled with the hammer or explanations but eh. Sakura's 760 is a brutal post despite Tierce's protests to the contrary and I certainly find myself drawn that way but especially if the counter is a Saki lynch that I'm exceedingly skeptical of.

I just gave on Monday so I'm running a bit low on blood; perhaps we could use Diet Dr. Pepper instead? I have plenty of that.

And yes, I realized she full claimed, I've just been kicking around whether or not there's a reason for me to extend the day. And after some thought, I'm going with no.

They tangoed so very well; "look at me" they cried; and we obliged them; and we suffered for it.
