In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:Do you think that TiphaneD is frustrated with this game?
I find that I'm not very good at gauging whether frustration feels "fake" or not. There's occasionally frustration that burns a shiny genuine fire in my heart, but the TD frustration isn't it.
In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:What's your read/analysis of Rach's posts?
Rach's earlier posting felt weak to me; it seemed like she was almost excessively lost and playing it up a bit to excuse a lack of any sort of content. But then there was a nice sort of progression of frustration that started out with a couple of apologies here and there but nothing overdone to the more recent post which hit that genuine vibe that I sometimes get from frustration very nicely. So I'm leaning town at the moment; not convinced, especially since my rach reading game has been pretty sub par as of late, but still leaning town.
In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:What is your read/analysis of B&B's posts, especially considering the hydra dichotomy/dissonance that've merited some noise so far?
Town as hell because this isn't mollie's scum game.
In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:What has you reading us as town in this game?
Metal Sonic is pretty much hitting all the town baselines I need for him. You are your usual townie self; GiF sees what I see so you probably won't be lynched this game.
In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:What do you think of the people with least posts (SkullDuggery, AJ, Rach, Mastin, Desperado, Andrius, Ghostlin, MuffinMan)?
What do you think of the people with the most posts (B&B, TrustFund, SoS, Venmar, Me, and TiphaneD)?
My thoughts about most of these players are likely to come out during my catch up.
In post 869, Faster Than Light wrote:Mala's approach to scum hunting feels way too much like Mala's trying to insert that something is scummy and force players to trip themselves engaging on that front.
This is not at all an accurate description of Mala's scumgame.

Andrius never aggressively defended himself that game, he pretended he was confident you were scum except was inconsistent in his appeals to me, constantly took irrelevant pot shots at our hydra, has already posted more in this game than he has in that one, never declared himself obvtown in that game like he has here (and he really is). He never even PUT A FUCKING VOTE DOWN in perpetual mylo or had consistent suspicions; he was too busy throwing mud all over the place he forgot he was supposed to have actual suspicions. This isn't perpetual MyLo. Scumreading you is pretty much the only parallel.

That doesn't make you any less dumb for being so.

and you say you want me to consider it but you know I've considered most wagons by now. you know it always takes a little effort to convince me and what you posted wasn't going to in any world. but instead of going "trust me, i have good shit" like you usually do when you're being a lazy fuck, you attack me for tunneling mutters (when I'm not even doing that?) and tell me I should at least consider it. Why?

you are town, mollie is town, syr is town, mala is town, varsoon is town, muffin is town, andrius is town, ghostlin is town, mastin is town, mac is town, venmar is town.

i don't think rach is town. rach and I have had some pretty good games together and I think her assertion that she's just bad on D1 is a lie. I've recently killed her as scum N1, I've killed her as scum before, etc. she is aware of mollie and ffery interactions and she is better than "mollie is buddying with X" because she knows your style well enough to know it as a town norm for mollie. her "yeah it's super unlikely that someone is scum in back to back games" seemed pretty fucking fishy to me considering she's never brought up gambler's fallacy ever with me even though I've been scum in a row a couple times with her before. she's been focused in telling us where we should be looking but she hasn't taken those glances herself, repeatedly calling herself an easy lynch, etc. etc. She had TWO scum reads (one of them her counterwagon) and it doesn't feel like she's trying to get any more. and in the end i suppose she's still town but i know she can do better than this.

mutley's slot is probably scum still. skull had a bunch of useless questions and a sketch fucking replace out (please don't let my play affect your opinion of my replacement) and mutley isn't even looking like a facade of his town play. he can't even give us two suspects except the easy one? his interactions with me are also awkward as fuck so there's a bonus.

i would love to have a strong read on BRO, but he's lurking and cabd's meta read is nowhere to be found even though it should really be in thread by now if he wasn't such a lazy lazy boy.

if my feelings on saki are anything close to correct, he's all but confirmed scum with that replace in.

TD scum? nick scum? lurk central. i don't want to be the one to move first in this game but nothing good is gonna come if i don't, it feels like.

It did, but boring things that I could have figured out normally. I'll have more explain-y posts when I have more time, but the only REALLY interesting things were mastin and Venmar, mastin in a town way and venmar in a not so town way. But mastin's town for other reasons and I can't get a handle on Venmar for the life of me, so.

Stance on Rach: She is scum. She's done approximately nothing this game and is following her scum meta to a T, which includes 6 days of her posting nothing but asking me to explain my stance on the skull slot because skull was a null to her and he wasn't to me.

Because RVS is arbitrary, so people could be like, "well, he was scum last game and won, so let's RVS here." It's as good of a reason as any.

This is important. That TD wagon built faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast. That alone makes me think TD is town.

As for FTL, the back-and-forth with the MS head is what gave me the town read, and again if I need to go into more detail, later.
...Ignores that I am also scumreading Mac.

The general ease with which people are handing out townreads is making me nervous, given that I abused the fuck out of that last game to coast to the win.

Now that I'm fully caught up, I would be down for wagoning Mac or Rach. I could easily want to wagon Mala depending on what she posts when she comes in.

you are currently holding me up to an unfair standard, BRO. you are using interactions where I waffled with my read on rach and thought she was town OVER the big picture, which is that i ended up pushing rach for the majority of the day yesterday (yes I did have a side-venture in pushing mutley, but hey i stopped that pretty quick didn't i), and ended up giving that wagon my support for the most of the day. i didn't have a huge part in pushing rach herself, but i did have a huge part in stalling the counterwagon on andy, which you also seem to miss. so if you're going to throw out the "waah waah no one's listening to me" shit out, then you need to give me some big picture things because right now it's sounding an awful lot like bullshit. when you town flail, you usually don't need to play with emotions while you do it but that's exactly what you're doing here.

i was being told to reanalyze by read on rach by ffery and cabd, so of course i'm going to reanalyze my read on rach. skull was not "null", no one is null when you have a decent town baseline for them and they are acting completely different than they normally do.
In post 2575, BROseidon wrote:Also, why are you bringing up the fact that you've had a bad run of reading Rach when discussing your tenativeness to read her as scum early, but you aren't saying the same about me? Last I checked, you've misread me in 3 of our most recent games together (Fire and Ice, Xenoblade, and Jobpick where you thought I was scum even though you were scum yourself).
you were mantis's read in fire and ice, i read you as own pretty earliy on and was feeling pretty good about that until lurker mode. xenoblade, yes. jobpick, no. i was scum and not seriously scumhunting by any means. not to mention that how the rach read evolved and how this read on you is evolving is pretty damn different: i did not get a strong read on you and have people disagree with that read as soon as i tossed it out.

that's how hyped venmar gets for his scumreads. here?
In post 2072, Venmar wrote:Ok I would go into massive detail on my TD scumread, but all I can tell you is that his reaction to my claim is still a massive scumtell for me. I'll agree that SOME of his posting was kind of towny and I backed off of him for it but I realize now i shouldn't have since he IS my strongest scumread in the game at the moment. I don't like his reaction to my claim since it reeked of scum appearing to not be fooled, i don't like how his one liner and lurkish posts kind of mirror his scumgame from Xenoblade, and I definitely don't like how he loses most of his motivation to stay active and contribute after the pressure on him disappears. TD simply has a lot of scum motivation behind almost all of his moves, and I think he decided to just fly under the radar after the pressure earlier from the day dropped, which is NOT a townie response.

Nacho, for you, here's a list of why I think TD is scum, in not particular order.
1. Gut Gut Gut GUT GUT GUT
2. Really bad and scummy reaction to my claim.
3. Scum motivated actions and posts.
4. Similar play here that is similar to his scummeta.

Now everyone sheep me cause this will earn you 72 Virgin Vennys in your afterlife
THIS IS HIS TD SCUMREAD

In post 285, BROseidon wrote:And the votes I'm thinking are the potential scum-votes on the TD wagon are Muffin, Mac, Ghost (++ to chances if Macscum), TF).
Look back on that TD wagon and tell me your opinion now!
In post 509, Aj The Epic wrote:He proceeds to do something I consider anti-town: His case justified his vote, not his vote justifying his case. Meaning he didn't look for a case until AFTER he decided to vote for Mac.
I often vote with cases in mind as either alignment, so this isn't really indicative of much.
In post 588, BROseidon wrote:The general ease with which people are handing out townreads is making me nervous, given that I abused the fuck out of that last game to coast to the win.
This seems genuine.
In post 658, BROseidon wrote:Andy I have 0 understanding of your thought process in townreading me because you don't talk about why I'm town. We have a lot of differing reads, so it's certainly not a case of "his reads look good, must be town."
This looks good too.
In post 941, Aj The Epic wrote:You were REPLICATING your town game in the newbie game. This is downright your scum play. Appealing to Mollie, who misread you in that game, isn't smart since I'm the one who found your slip. You've already proven your own scum tell on FTL to work with you, and you're trying to get Mollie to defend you.

I LIKE the nick wagon, he's all over the place, but I'm 99% sure Mala is scum again.
If you could remind me what Mala's scum play looks like and what games you're pulling that from, that would be great.
In post 1127, BROseidon wrote:Also going to point out that Nacho’s 832 feels like his play as my IC more than his play in Xeno, and he was town in both of those. Slightly townreading that post.
I'm confused how you compare my play with two towngames and get a townread from it. Aren't you supposed to do something like compare my townIC game with a scumIC game?
In post 1127, BROseidon wrote:Btw nothing Mala is posting is making me feel good about that slot. She’s posting a lot of null and nhammen posted scummy so…
You're still reading things from the nhammen slot? What did he do, exactly?
In post 1220, Aj The Epic wrote:Hey Trust fund. Your reads are bad, and you should feel bad. Wanna know why?
Plenty of other people had reads that disagreed with yours; why did you pick up on TF and no one else?
In post 1247, Aj The Epic wrote:Yes, I believe that it was way too easy a push for a lynch. Think about it, what easier excuse is there to lynch someone other than a 'scumslip'.
It's easy to push for a lynch, but that's not really a reason for the entire scumteam minus one to attack him for it.
In post 1251, Aj The Epic wrote:Show me a game where Mala used AtE so heavily and often as town. This isn't HER town game.
Can you show me the scumgame where Mala AtEd so heavily and often?
In post 1458, Aj The Epic wrote:Thezmon is town, by far. You 'grilling' him was so useless, even that was defense of a scumbuddy. So after we flip Rach, her scum flip incriminates you, and your scum flip verifies FTL as town. 2 scum and a second verified town.
I don't like that your initial vote on Rach sets up for another lynch.
In post 1872, Aj The Epic wrote:I know a player who drunk posts a lot on my off site and I've found it to be more scummy the more it's done. Almost an excuse to post often and get words in that you more or less can't take seriously. Because how do you type accurately when you're truly drunk? One, you shouldn't even be playing mafia at that point, but two, truly drunk people are rarely that coherent.
Calling drunkposting a scumtell is weird but probably a personality thing so noting but not considering as anything significant.
In post 1993, BROseidon wrote:Basically he didn't just blatantly OMGUS and deathtunnel the person on him.
Have you looked at his other scum meta? Generally a deathtunneling scum meta doesn't work at all unless you also have a deathtunneling town meta.
In post 2331, Aj The Epic wrote:I really hope someone kills Saki, our resident useless player. The ideology that you 'must be the hammer' is incredibly stupid. It feels like you want your ego stroked a bit by being the hammer and by doing so, you hinder the town's process.

Vote:Andrius

Fuck it. B&B are there, Notscience is there, as well FTL and trust fund. Maybe I'm missing something, but we don't have a lot of choice anymore.

This is, with TD's vote, l-3?
This vote is weird.
In post 2455, BROseidon wrote:So it's scummy to let town stall out to a no-lynch>?

Got it.
BRO framed this like Rach was gonna flip town, which makes me feel good about him.
In post 2472, BROseidon wrote:2322- And yet I’m the one who hammered the scum four hours before deadline ^_^ (we’ll ignore FTL showing up as a 12th vote)

Okay I’m just being a dick about this now. #sorrynotsorry.
And this gloating reads town as fuck.

Rereading BRO's and I's exchange, I'm reading BRO as pretty genuine so that's reassuring.
In post 2735, Aj The Epic wrote:Therefore, by Rach flipping scum, I've only advanced my own case on Mala.
Yeah and I don't really like that.
In post 2887, Aj The Epic wrote:@Jiffy: Fine. We go your way today.
Didn't you already compromise once? What makes you think that things will swing back over to Mala with a nick lynch?
In post 3013, BROseidon wrote:Rach was acting more towny in Xenoblade if anything because she could scumhunt for the actual scumteam, and from what I've gathered it's a lack of real scumhunting that indicates scum-Rach normally.

In other words, this interaction reeks on multiple levels (because of the context of where you caught her last time, the fact that Rach flipped scum, and the fact that you, throughout all of these posts, never actually give any detail as to why Rach is town. You never articulate how any of her positions or posting quality indicated town interest to her. You instead tried to coast by on "I can read Rach well she's town trust me guys."
This was a good point.

Yes. Some people's input is more important than input from others.

Priority is my own and not for public eyes. The list is numbered by playerlist number.
