Hey guys, let me recap and I'll probably make a post detailing my thoughts this evening.

I would appreciate a couple of recaps for me to get some perspective from. I will skim the thread though.

Reading this thread is death.

To put my forebearers stuff into the light. I have no idea what either of them were doing and they both looked like they wanted to be heros and got mad that they couldn't.
I've started my reading on day three and have about 15 pages left of todays stuff to get through. So far, I'm unhappy about the eggs in the basket idea, but I like the random aspect of it. I feel that investigations of any kind are incredibly important for us as town if we are presenting a pool of people for scum to shoot and it's pretty given in a game as large as this that at least one scum is going to be seen as pretty damn town, so I'd be looking to keep the top townreads fluid-ish and making sure that any major money sending is offset by a transfer back between a member of the top towns to another. (Like if three people happen to send the same person money and thy had quite a bit to send.)

The biggest issue with trying to break the game is that there WILL always be the factor that both scum teams have the drop on town. Knowing more leaves alot in the open. Letting tracker slip is a HUGE loss, which should probably be punished as subversion of information roles is entirely scum at this point.

More later.

In post 2378, Lord Mhork wrote:Tammy has her own criticisms to the plan. She thinks that even weak town reads should not be throwing their money at the Big Six. Rather we should force scum reads to feel money to the Big Six. She says this mitigates the damage more of scum being in the town bloc. She also thinks there should be a designation of who goes for what.

Also she would like to repeat for pie's sake that she feels the 'let's verify Mhork' thing was super fake. Also she thinks pie is a moron for seriously thinking that confirmed town would try to gambit to get me town cred.

Baldeagle, she wants you to repost how much you sent her.

So just looked it up. I was asking that question for a purpose.

The fact that my slot never got slammed means something weird is going on consdering almost all the lynches have been pushed, as a starting reason, for being lurkish and inactive.
Day 1 that happens, day 2 a scum got hit, and day three, the slot doing the worst lurking got pretty much nothing. That leads me to believe, given that I'm town, that alot of bussing happened on the Dr. Pepper wagon otherwise stuff starts to not make sense.

If nero is town, which I think he is, that means even more likely that scum was on Dr. pepper unless my skim of the early parts of today was incorrect.

Not that it really matters, but your slot WAS wagoned on D2. In fact, people even suggested
quicklynching
Klick (before he pulled the shameless self-vote + fake-replace-out/fake-replace-in/real-replace-out routine). Did you remember that but decide it didn't count? Also, why do you seem so focused on your predecessors and the reactions they got? Why not ask why we didn't wagon Zdenek, Banakai, or guille?
I haven't actually read day 2 yet. I did iso Magua to see the wagons and yeah I saw it. I assumed it was based on the self vote, so I figured it wasn't for the lurking, not being there stuff, which truth be told I was basing on Jacob's 3(?) posts in day 3 before I came in.

Magua, Nero has two separate counts.

And I am happy to go with either Seanald, Muffin or Kingdom. I'll hammer a Voided if we need it at deadline and nothing else presents itself. I won't support anything else.

Vote count fixed.

Are you saying you think your slot was never properly wagoned because both scumteams think you're on the other?
Maybe, or one or two of the first 3 people on Dr. pepper are buds looking for a high town points lynch on a not quite useful scum partner.

@Muffin: I have read the mod posts of day 1, skimmed the voting and end of day 2 and read the whole of day 3.
@Voided: Because they are to the first two. And Garuda was the first vote on pretty much every lurking slot in the game so far.

There are about 10 hours to deadline as if this post or something close to that. Seanald is at L-2.

He has already lied about the money he has left over.

Please vote and hammer him before deadline. Feel free to reread the past few pages AFTER voting.

1. This line of questioning is going nowhere and drawing me back to the thread in the hope someone else is here.
2. That was my favorite way to question back when I was a below average player. (Some would argue I'm still a below average player.) And tbh, it's not really that great. It's better to put everything out there, more scumminess will usually come up if you actually force them to play differently to cover something they were previously doing.

@Voided: Mainly that he was hounding a wagon that was in full swing already, it was as if he wanted the lynch to be closed out asap before it got derailed. And asking deliberately hard to answer question which used against an established wagon is like trying to stuff someone still alive in a casket before people realise you're doing it.

Not to mention he wasn't int he best of positions on wagons so far this game.

@Upside: Because it was too late then. I didn't know if people were going to be back and the timing meant that lynch was at like 8-9am my time, a time at which I would be fast asleep and in no position to change my vote.

I misread what you were asking.

2995 is about where morph got scummy, which is what I was answering, however that wasn't the question as I have now realised.

As for your actual question, 3006?

@Muffin
No that was you asking questions with no possible town answer to Nero just as he his wagon hit tipping point.

And are you really going to be that dismissive at this point in the game? People haven't been the most liberal with town reads on you. That usually points to issues in your play. And wagon analysis has always been a part of scumhunting. Tbh, I'm finding you 'defenses' to be ever worse than the rest of your play. So what if an attack is weak, if it's a constant that would point to a bit more of a scum playing as scum than a town being consistently mistaken.

Also, I believe a revote on night activity would be a good idea. Only three of the peeps are still alive, AND deadline is floating above our heads. We can discuss a lynch as well, but it does us no good to sit around with no direction for the night when we could be slapped with three irl days of play to sort out everything.

2498, 2509 are a start. I might go fetch more when I'm not on my way to bed.

2498 is entirely setup for lynching without opportunity for response. Your first point is entirely reasonable on nero's part. Second point goes for many slots, yet you only mention on the target convenient for you. Third point in entirely unreasonable on your part. Not everyone has the scum PM that lets them know exactly who the scum are. Town have to work it out over the course of multiple days.

2509 puts Garuda in a lose/lose response situation where his only option is to go, yes, to which you can just parrot of your previous claims on self preservation.

Shutting down all options for response is a terrible easy way to cause mislynches at best and is a venomous scum tactic at worst (or vice versa if I'm right in assuming you have a scum PM).

Ok, I just realised something. Like actually got out of bed, because it was nagging at me.

Why are you even continuing this conversation? If everything I'm saying is as flimsy as your saying, why do you care? What town motivation is there for you to entertain a line of inquiry that is as terrible as you're making it out to be. You are so ready to discredit those that call you scum and shut down any lines or investigation into alleged scumminess, and yet can't produce the kinds of read lists that you seemed to expect of your suspects yesterday.

The scum motivation for this attitude to the gamestate is immense, and there is no way I can see town put this much effort into ensuring that town thinks they're town.

And to think I hate not being able to get to sleep.

Sorry missed that.

KA is looking much more town today so yeah I'd put him in my town pool.
Voided doesn't seem like scum at all from what I've looked and seems quite interested in helping the town despite being on the cards every day.
Nero is so town it isn't funny. His response to the lynch attempt yesterday is either masterful scum or focused town. I think the latter.
Prohawk is null.
BBmolla as far as I can tell is under fire for a night choice, which seems pretty inconclusive reasoning to me so I don't really agree with the suspicion on him.
UD has been pinging me since late yesterday and todays play.

I'll admit that I'm not the most switched on with the game yet. The short day today definitely didn't help. I am keeping up with the happenings of the thread, the problem is that there is almost no room for mobilization of lynches that aren't already under suspicion, which is a problem. I'm hoping that given a longer day tomorrow and probably two deaths will make people rethink their reads and we can get some new wagons going and have a smart and well discussed lynch tomorrow.

Relevant.

I think we should massclaim because we're a day away from LYLO, traditional scumhunting is failing us, and everyone knows where the power roles are concentrated, anyway. And I think in a set-up this complex, at least one person is guaranteed to mess up their claim somewhere. My
only
best skill as a scumhunter is catching people in role contradictions and scumslips. And that's leaving aside roles like Market Analyst or Coroner that could do all sorts of delicious things with the results.

Oddly, though, I think I
like
Nero's refusal to massclaim. This probably makes me a terrible person.

On that note, Voided, Nero, Espeonage, and ProHawk, who did you send money last night? And ProHawk, who did you send money on N3?
I sent no money and bid all of my money on an ability I did not receive because I figured either a town with alot of money would make a bid and scum wouldn't spend too much (but enough to make a sizable bid essential) and so I went that route to ensure scum didn't pick it up.

Also, I mentioned this yesterday or the day before, but Garuda always seemed to be pushing or at least early on all of the wagons against the chronic lurkers, which seems to indicate a sense of wanting to get town early so they can coast later. Which is why I'm not going to be against joining a wagon on them at some point. I would like to have a think on what wagon I want to join though. I feel like last night's actions should probably be outed. LB does raise a good point that we need info.

I also think that at this point in the game that people making bad decisions should be held accountable. This is a serious mechanic that forms the crux of this game, and I don't think that enough is getting out. Mainly because all the people making actions are getting killed at night before they can reveal any sort of results. Which actually raises an interesting point. I think I might go back and look for clues and breadcrumbs to results. I feel that morph would have from what I know of those two and possibly others. We're just losing alot of information by the way we've organised this pool of people that are not only read as town, but also the ones doing everything that scum can pick and choose which to kill before they can reveal.

And that, I feel is where scum are nailing us, in the night game.

Unvote

Ok so I'm back from my V/LA. I have been reading along. Retaining all that info is another thing entirely. Fair sure I caught someone asking where I sent money last night and I'm pretty sure I already said I didn't. I really just want a flip right now. I want to get some reasons to vote someone but every time I try and pick something out and consolidate it in my mind I just get a list of 3 or so other people that have done the same shit. So bottom line is, I've thrown all my reads out the door until I get something else to vote on be it flip or shit that doesn't add up. So for now my vote is now there to be claimed by the highest bidder (ahahahaha, pun not literal before people start yelling at me).

I am happy to get behind pretty much any lynch right now. I have a total of two townreads. Myself and Mina, jury is still out on Faraday.

Oh and I'm iffy on joining Nero. I thought he was town before the investigation claim, and I'm going to trust that Nero didn't have the moneys to get the immunity.

So consider me voting BB because it's bigger until someone can convince me otherwise.

I'm second guessing them all?

Molla looks pretty hella scum from where I am, if only because he could be seeming like legit he hasn't had to lie about actions because he's not being held accountable.
Something still irks me about you, but I've got no motivation to actually lynch you, and tbh it's unfounded atm.
UD started as a gut read a while ago in relation to you, but has become independently scummy. No posts in particular but the tone doesn't sit right, Quilford's rubbing me the wrong way.
I'm incredibly cautious of LB atm, I've realised that Occam's Razor has alot to say about night actions if LB flips scum. And conversely, is the most likely culprit if Nero is being framed which I'm believing atm.
Voided never got over the line with lynch attempts which makes me feel that they are still on the cards because scum probably smelt an easy mislynch and laid off later because they probably cleared them as other scum. Which makes sense, or scum couldn't get town to co-operate and didn't want to throw too many people at a lynch. So this is a read that I feel will become much clearer with more flips.

That a good start for you?

No I feel if he is town scum played it to 100% secure his lynch, get the mislynch today and win tomorrow.

Then again all conjecture and I can't even remember where the read come from and I certainly didn't buy Governor. I doubt anyone town would govern Nero anyway.

We got rolled.

I feel bad because I never got a voice and just when I was actually getting some conviction, albeit 50/50, it was too late for me. Still I liked the game because despite getting rolled I enjoyed the challenge.

That said, LB should have been the automatic lynch in Lylo as a deserpation shot for town because something was obviously up and I would have tunnelled that lynch to the ends of the earth if bald had gotten lynched.

Scum played pretty baller though. So Kudos.

Don't quote wall, ever. Treat them as separate posts and it makes it much easier on the eyes. People start to lose interest at the second quote. And rarely will go past the third.

To put in a bit of a personal view. I will generally, if I have alot to talk about, do it one bit at a time. Quote something, then post. Quote something else, then post. It makes more posts. But breaks up the thought process and makes it easier to follow. If you can get away with it, just put post numbers. Or if it is recent just respond by saying who you are talking to beforehand. (I generally go "@user: words")
