Ignoring your terrible vote in the post following this one and responding to your question. I take gambits like that with a grain of salt. The rules don't leave much to the imagination so a night 0 cop is a bit ridiculous. He could have done it in an attempt to seem town because there is a stereotype that only town players make reaction test gambits. It doesn't sway my opinion of either player since wake didn't give anything away during the gambit. The only knowledge I really gleemed from it is that if BB is scum, wake probably isn't on his team. I don't think BB would have targeted a scum mate for that gambit if it was a fake.

My reasoning is pressure. Wagoning is a great tool to see how people react which is what I got from lucky. Keep in mind too my vote on lucky was not random. Kalimar put wake at L2 when the game immediately started, so we need to hear his reasoning whenever he decides to show up.

Wake was in a game I modded once. He acted pretty similar to this. Unfortunately he got site banned before the game ended. His play style is... Aggravating but I'm not sure it's proof of scum. He may end up getting lynched because he's too hard to play with.

ETL I've seen get all huffy and mad and such. I was the cause of it at the time, but she was town. It's not enough for a meta read but can anyone confirm ETL town = hissy fit when accused?

Why did Bo's kill make sense to you?

Because if I were scum, it's exactly the kill I'd make. He was under heavy suspicion yesterday, and one of the two leading wagons. Considering there are multiple cops, it's not as easy to pin down who to take out. Instead, it's easier to assume the cop would investigate the second leading wagon, and kill that person instead (if they are town), possibly removing a confirmed town for the next day and setting someone up for a mislynch when they claim an innocent on the dead person.
I'd be more suspicious about bo today had he survived.
Fwiw, I wanted to avoid explaining this until later, but with the number of conftown and almost conftown, we'd have to be really bad to lose this.

@lucky: not a defence of you, more an attempt to gauge ETL's thought process on the matter. content is subjective but to me refers to the assertion and discussion of posts and opinions that advances the gamestate. i have not asserted or discussed a large amount of posts and opinions in this game, and neither has DP. this wasn't my main problem with DP's vote of me: rather I found it hypocritical (and therefore scummy) that someone who has done next to nothing votes me primarily for doing next to nothing.

i'm decently satisfied with ETL's reasoning on her lucky scumread and cop choice. although i think making the second choice cop contingent on another n1 cop existing was a bit odd i'm not sure it's scummy odd just odd.

Hypocrisy is more likely to come from scum for the reason that it shows a shallow level of thinking. If Person A accuses Person B of being scummy for Action X, but is also doing Action X themself, on the face of it why is it scummy for one person but not the other?

That doesn't necessarily mean the action isn't scummy for that particular person. A certain level of context-dependence takes place when evaluating the potency of any scum read.

In your case, I didn't feel as though the context-dependence was there.

1. There is a difference between town intent and evidence. Evidence for town is rare to non-existent because it's FACT, not opinion or guess work. So he really can't provide evidence, unless he has a flipped cop not guilty on him.

2. his post about willingness to replace out seemed fake to me. If he does actually replace out, I'd confirm that slot as town.

3. I know scum bussing is a thing, but so is distancing. Is it guarenteed that someone bussed him? no. No matter how rare, always account for the opposite possibility.

Lucky why is Smudger scum?

Well there isn't really much I can say that isn't bias... but take a look at the vote counts. He chainsawed me day 2 and 3 and was unsuccessful. Why? Because I am lynch bait (ETL knows this) and scum wanted an easy kill. Day 4 he finally realizes he isn't going to get me (or he purposefully saves me for today) and busses his partner.
