First order of business... are we supposed scum because Cabd was "coaching" scum in the thread? Or is there something else I missed... In which scum-team world does that plan actually work? Also, if you actually care MuffinMan, from my experience with Cabd, he is a pretty avid-town hunter in that he looks for town-slips and will call them out when he sees them. I have seen it on multiple occasions.

From my quick read, I got scum-reads from Kagami, Rem, and a couple of Mollie's points, although Cabd says they are out of spite more than scum.

That's different than what others are arguing, but I think my explanation is most viable there - everyone (allegedly) missing the IC thing is overall bad for the gamestate and I think that is the only thing someone might be ashamed for there.

I say allegedly because FWIW, I didn't miss it. Also realize that Cabd didn't miss it either and still elected to make that argument, which speaks to me that he's excepting himself from the exercise because he knows he has a high attention to detail in every game.

I find it weird that you were oh so ready to put them in your town bloc but suddenly realised that they should never have been there in the first place after it was pointed out which may have been independent from my read and mac's with your own developement of that read.

Their initial reachout post felt town to both ffery and I, and we wanted them in the lower part of the block for it. Their total lack of followup AND the post by fish totally sunk it for me.

my concern is that the greatest skill a scum player can have is the ability to anticipate town herd mentality. <----you have this ability. in your town games you seem to lack confidence at times where you should have it but that is town meta.

It really depends on my partner and my "feel" for the game. Like if you haven't, go check out the Fire Emblem game. Hawkie and I pegged the fuck out of like 4/6ths of the scumteam and ate the night two kill for it. I was on epic FIRE that game. The start of this game had me in a similar kind of groove. Some games I get that epic spark, others I wallow through the mud feeling like shit half the game. (Like xenogears where it took scumsoon facing me in 3 man lylo to man the fuck up for the win) I guess you can say I can read where town is going as scum. I won't deny that. And my play this game has been such that my exit from this game is probably just as likely to come by lynch as nightkill, seeing as how I'm a stronger player that's mislynchable.

By the way. As of my 35ish completed games here there are two, and exactly two, players that when town can read me perfectly. Mollie and (as of about ten games ago) Sakura Hana. That's it. Ffery can't do it. Nacho can't do it. Hawkie can't do it. Waynegg can't do it. (BTW waynegg I know it's you now, you can stop bothering to hide it now, you slipped some info only you'd know about me) Mollie always, given time, gets my alignment right. Sakura's usually quicker at it, but mollie has a better track record. There's a reason my nightkill out the gate was mollie in We the Purple. I'd rather deal with a nacho-tammy hydra than mollie/anything correctly pegging me 10 times out of 10. She got me right in red wedding, she got me right in xenoblade, she got me right in xenogears. If she decided in the end that I am scum, then I will rejoice I have finally been misread and can contently NOT panic when I draw scum against her again. You sure about that? Here is what I saw from his posts.

I make a post saying I am town (because I am and I know that despite others not having the same luxury). Varsoon says, "How can you say that? Only one person is confirmed town". Which I found odd-scum-odd because...

A) He CONFIRMED HIMSELF as town in his first post AND his second post using the explicit words "However, I'm town, so there's no use in voting me, as

I am now confirmed town.

." And I know he was specifically referring to Jacquen as being confirmed town, or at the very least should have considering how he has been posting.

B) If he were town, he should realize that as town, in a game with an IC, you should know that two people are town (yourself and the IC). It is an INTEGRAL part of scum-hunting. But if he were scum, he would have to pretend he was town (like in his first posts) and the realization wouldn't come natively.

C) I never said I was confirmed town. What I said was Jacquen was tunneling on town which I know to be a true statement.

Ffery has been pegged by mollie on day one before. That game was xenoblade chronicles, where she sat there and ate the day one lynch. Could she have kept it up if we were scum? I can't say for sure. But one of the cited reasons when she apologized to me upon leaving was that she was tired of repeating this over and over again, citing the parallels to The Walking Dead (where mollie scumread ffery incorrectly) and to Xenogears (remember day one early?). I don't think ffery would ever willingly get into one of these fights. I mean for fuck's sake she was so distressed she went global VLA for several days to get over the events of this game day. Mollie's ability to read ffery itself is a mixed bag. Mollie claims to have perfected the art, but she's been wrong a few times.

As for your other paragraph, my townread on that slot is based primarily upon the other two heads's posts. Ffery can supposedly tell when mollie's legit upset and when she's faking it, and left them as more town than jaquen in our hydra chat when she left. Could mollie know that tunneling us would make ffery react like that? I can't say for sure. But I don't think mollie is the kind of player that would alienate somebody she once enjoyed playing with to the point of blacklisting each other (or damn near) for a single scumgame mislynch, and I don't think that the other two heads would react as they are now if it was staged.

That said, our innocent child's main account is on both mine and ffery's blacklist, and I very much doubt either of us would have remained in signups had we known who it was.
