Very much so. I think the only time I tried to lynch him, he was town and that's because I was heavily townreading the last scum at the time. But I managed to steal a win from him when he was scum in a micro.

I'm also feeling great this game, which helps. I feel like the town players here are already in the process of synching up, just like last Xeno game, and that the scum are trapped on the outside for the most part. I generally don't feel like instantly flipping the switch, but this game is going so damn awesomely that I kinda sorta feel like I almost could flip it right here and now and be that pseudo-scumhunting-god.

Although I know that this is a thing, I'd have liked it if this wasn't mentioned. I don't know why, but stating something like this, especially so early in the game, just bothers me.

Uh, no. I actually threw out several theories as to why people were jumping onto my wagon. You and Kaze voted me for the supersaint thing. Skull voted me for my awkward vote switch/sheep vote. Some votes just looked like pressure votes with the sole intent of making the wagon larger. Muffin, I don't know. Orci's vote probably came as a reaction to my comment about his entrance. The Jesus thing was a joke, but I am pretty aware of how the votes ended up on my wagon even if I don't know the alignments associated with those votes.

Also, if you look at the nature of my wagon, of course I'd be sarcastic. It just looked like an RVS wagon. If I got lynched as a result (which I did think was a possibility, especially after my self-vote), then this game no longer becomes my problem and I can focus on my other games.

"can't fake as scum" doesn't have much to do with the way I build models. I have been able to catch players on the basis of my town-model not fitting their behaviors in a game. It's not just "does X" or "doesn't do Y".

That reminds me. I don't know if you've seen this yet, but this is my last scum game. It also got me fabulously mislynched by Mala in AG because she was being super paranoid. I got kinda lazy after my scumbuddy convinced me to NK Nacho (he was actually my fourth choice, but "Nacho is really good at reading people" is a pretty persuasive argument).

Do you think your wagon was primarily Town-driven or Scum-driven? It can't be both, but that's what it sounds like you're saying.

I lack the confidence and awareness to say whether it was primarily town-driven or scum-driven, because quite frankly, I don't know. Personally, I would want that wagon to be scum-driven, except town can just as easily drive an early wagon up (and they do do this).

My early reads list was what I had at the time. I pulled out whatever players I thought could be town, commented on the two that I thought were weird, and placed all the others into the scum-pile out of spite. Town piling onto large wagons isn't something I considered until Bro brought it up later.

Anyway, to answer your question, it was a reference to Calvin & Hobbes Mafia, which was the first game that Varsoon and I played together. He was a Scum Neighborizer who tried to Neighborize me on Night 1 but got redirected. Ever since then, it's been a running joke between us that one day we'd finally get to be in a Neighborhood together so he could whisper sweet nothings into my ear or something.
