Hi guys. I can read Nexus very well and quadz pretty well. Tim Howard is town. Will point towards a better vote (from a pool of 'most other people') momentarily.

Townreads on Tim, Zdenek, LLD. Flimsy (but enough for now) townreads on Sixty and Venmar. I thought Cerulean was town until their weaksauce vote on Tim, back to null for now. I would also gladly contribute to a Katsuki policy lynch (invoking ongoing games as primary reason).

Y'all interact with each other weirdly and it's kind of hard to get into. Please ease up and let yourselves be more readable. Thanks in advance.

Again, it's not one game, it's simply
the wording I was returning to
from one game. See also for my reads on Nexus: UK Scummers Invitational, a shit-ton of face-to-face games, including a bunch just last week.

No part of #391 makes me think that my read is wrong.

I might, when I get time, but I don't right at present and I wouldn't hold your breath for anything significantly more satisfying than what I've already said. It's the sort of thing that can be got into later down the line if needed but, on Day 1, just look elsewhere.

Reck, not only do we have it mod-confirmed that abilities are not necessarily a reflection of alignment, but we've already had one person explicitly claim the ability to discern that at least one player in the playerlist is scum. Non-useful abilities are entirely plausible.

I have a fairly strong townread on Zdenek. I do wish Tim would drop it.

Bring me a Shadoweagon. I don't like any of the others on offer, save a righteous but joyless Katsuki lynch.

Agree with Zdenek that Plum's NS vote seems kinda lazy and dull but her 542, I thiiiink, leans town.

If I were going to leave the Shadoweh wagon (which I might, depending on how things go when I have time to read more thoroughly), it would be for the Reck wagon.

This is also where I'm at, for the record.

I wish, Tim, that you would stop voting Zdenek. I'm not seeing it at all.

Meanwhile, I'll have chamber for town.

Some of these mini-wagons need to be cannibalised.

Kanye, Venmar and Shadoweh should all start by moving their votes to one of the six players with two or more other votes already in place.

I'm not a fan of Reck being flat-out wrong on Tim calling him v Sixty "town v town" and I'm not convinced that it's an innocent mistake given that he initially seemed to take their post in the way that was intended. It's possible that it's just Reck losing track of something by nature of getting more invested into an argument and I got slight town vibes off some other of his posts in the last 10 pages so I'm going with a big fat fence-sit here - though that definitely puts him on a list of people for whom I would vote today.

On the other wagons:

Tim: Still have a solid townread on this slot and, while appreciating Cerulean's concerns about sheepreads like this backfiring before, they also frontfire at times (see: The Red Wedding, in which people listened to me until I doubted myself, which turned out to be a bad idea). I strongly urge all town players to just trust me on this shit for
at least one frakking day
because it doesn't seem sensible to go against a strong read from a historically good source of reads, in the same way in which I would usually defer to, say, Sotty or Zach when reading Jason in the early game.

Venmar: I'm not a huge fan of Venmar's approach and what few of his reads I can actually remember but my consistent gut reaction is that he seems pretty similar to the Red Wedding game, where he was town, and I think his ability demonstration might suggest an impatient town mindset. I'd definitely sacrifice him over Tim but that's not saying very much.

Plum: Still think NS is a fairly lazy vote at the time but still think 542 comes across as townish and I think her behaviour seems pretty well in keeping with someone on the periphery of the game keeping just about as afloat and helpful as they feel they can be (i.e. not too far away from where I am right now). Think I would rather avoid a Plum lynch for the time being - seems like someone I'd feel better analysing when we've thinned the numbers a bit.

Katsuki: Honestly I can't tell shit about his alignment after 43 largely noisy posts and, in my slightly disconnected state, would be increasingly satisfied with a policy lynch here. At the moment, that's the most appealing of the votes on offer.

VOTE: Katsuki

Update on my Shadoweh read, because it's good manners: A handful of what I think are slight town-pings over the last 10-15 pages that can put her back into 'pretty null, given that I have absolutely no baseline of reading her' territory but I will go back to the original things that bothered me Tomorrow or later Today if the wagon reappears.

In post 1102, xRECKONERx wrote:To be fair, saying you're not interested in an argument between two people usually means that you're not interested
because
it's town on town (more often than not).
Sometimes, sometimes not. I think context is important and my feeling on both those heads is that they're more likely to be "not interested" in a 'this is annoying to read and there are not enough useful reads coming from it to be worth the bother' manner than a 'this is town v town and therefore boring' manner.
I fail to see how me being wrong about this makes me scummy, though.
What I tried to make clear in my post was that simply misinterpreting would not be scummy; it would be wilful distortion of the point in order to manoeuvre yourself onto a non-you lynch wagon that I would find scummy. I currently don't feel there's enough for me to come down on that latter conclusion, which is why I'm voting for someone other than you.
Sixty did something much more egregious in saying I had been told about Fall of Gondolin before I began attacking them (or whatever it was) when in fact I hadn't. Why is Sixty not on your list?
Sixty doesn't have any votes at the moment so wasn't included in my run-down of feelings on current wagons, because I feel like we need to consolidate existing wagons into a lynch, not continue to flap about incoherently. Having somewhat skimread that whole argument (because I too found it kind of boring) my feeling was that the whole FoG thing looks like a difference in expectations between the two of you, rather than a scummy misrepresentation.

UNVOTE: kanye

The Kanye wagon has gone more quickly and feels closer to being pushed through than I think I'm comfortable with right now and I need to find more time Today to get properly into this game in a way that I didn't Yesterday.

UT, what do you think of Kanye? Your iso shows zero mentions of his name.
