Comparative Religion Mafia GAME OVAH

Holy crap, am I the last one to show up? This game is way faster than the other snoozefest I'm enrolled in.
Going to be doing some catchup reading tonight and tomorrow. I should be able to get something to post by then.

All right, I read through everything and I think I'm caught up on the general atmosphere of the game. Got a couple of points that I don't think anyone covered, so let me lay them out first:
[*]Is there any particular reason that everyone has just started to "accept" that the mafia can't be converted? I mean, you have AP claiming he couldn't convert someone so they must be scum, and using that to gauge BPC's reaction to determine if he's scum (his "gambit" as Axxle put it). But there's nothing in the rules that says anything like this. Does anyone have any real reason to think that scum is a church-specific faction? Untrod has a rule for when recruiters get recruited by a church, so if Mafia was church-specific and unrecruitable that would be a lot like having multiple perfect-sanity cops (with potentially a few Millers that can't be converted).
[*]Uh... I guess that's the only point. Everything else I had looks like it was covered after all.
Levi is scum for all of the reasons that have been brought up. AP might be town, but someone mentioned that he's always a townread so I'll need to ISO him again to get any more information. I don't think BPC is scum because of his response to AP's fake recruit, because like I said I'm not entirely sure that scum are their own church.
My head hurts (reading sixteen pages in two hours takes its toll) so I'm sure I'm missing something or other. I know some people have said that they're reading Levi as town right now but I don't see it.

I'll try to go back through everything and get a better handle on it, unless one of you fine gents in here would like to tell me why Levi isn't scum?

I don't understand this post at all. You only want to vote for Quill if it'll get him lynched?In post 380, leviathan93 wrote:If you want to lynch him, I will hammer, but I don't see the point unless he gets lynched.In post 378, Bacde wrote:Levi, will you pretty please vote quill with a cherry on top?
Ap, stop trying to bus bob and just keep bussing quill

I'm pretty null on BPC right now. 210 was a completely garbage post: he couldn't point out anything definitive about Bacde (who at that point had been fairly good at pointing out contradictions), he defended that he had read Levi's history as being a newer player, and talked up how important his role was. I feel like he's trying to coast through the game with minimal effort while telling us that he's putting more effort than he really is. That being said, I also find myself agreeing with pretty much everything he says in the bottom half of 418. Assuming he is telling the truth about being unrecruitable, I'm not surprised that he outright told us that he was unrecruitable. If someone announced to the thread that they investigated a Miller and got a guilty, would you expect the Miller's first response to be a Miller claim or to ask the cop if he was sure about his sanity? I can't tell if I'm reading him as null because his coasting looks like lazytown or lazyscum. (I know I can also only get on toIn post 417, Axxle wrote:@abel: Any opinion on BPC or Quill?
really
post for a few hours each night too, so his "I work for a living" part of 418 seems to make his coasting understandable, if not forgivable.)At the time you asked this question, I wasn't liking Quill if only for his low-content posts. Now I'm not liking him because he called the pressure wagon Bacde's been trying to garner support for on Quill a mislynch. When you have less than half the votes to get to lynch, you're not in danger of being lynched yet. It feels... I don't think "hysterical" is the right word, but definitely an overreaction.
I don't like this either. Shows Quill spent some time trying to figure out how to attack the people on his wagon.In post 423, Quill wrote:Not to WIFOM, but if I was scum here, you can bet your ass I wouldn't be wasting my time going after you if I really wanted to "attack" the people on my wagon.Both AP and bacde have a lot more material for me to twist and misrepresent.
PEdit:
@Bacde:
So you got Quill to post a couple of times and immediately start trying to form a new wagon? Are you just using your vote to squeeze out some new content or do you have some other plan in mind?"We're killing Abel, he is - by far - the town with the most brain cells rattling around in his noggin. It will be happytime awesome dance to have him dead and gone." -Thor665
Do I spy a wagon forming on me?
AP apparently being a known/accepted troll-type player is screwing up all my reads on him. Gut says town, brain retired from trying to figure out what he is after he talked about being in the scum QT in 453.
Gah, running late for work right now. I'll post from my phone at work if I get a chance.
@Bob
, you've been making general complaints at my "tone" since 337 and tried to turn Bacde's Quill wagon onto me after my "hey gonna catch up" post. Is there any reason why your vote doesn't

Wait what? He's not scummy but he really is, but it's his personality? What part of his posts come off as being a scummyIn post 458, implosion wrote:Yeah no quill isn't that scummy. He's acting like, overtly scummy, in the way that's more a personality thing than actual scum.

@Klazam 463:
I don't mind low-post vote wagons as a prod for content, but usually I'd like to see some questions along with them. At least give me an idea of what you want to hear me talk about.Preview Edit:
@AP 471:
I only got around to the three of you because I was running late for work and the first thing I did was look at who was on my wagon. I feel like Bacde is less trolly than you are, which is why I feel more comfortable with being able to read him. He's mainly been focused on getting the Quill wagon running for the last few pages, which I can definitely understand. Honestly, I didn't even read that quote about making Quill look town as a scummy trollpost - I legitimately thought it meant he couldn't find a way to read what Quill was saying as anything but scum. Once I get home and get a chance to ISO you guys I'll be happy to give you more specifics, but at the moment I'm on my phone and whoever designed the mobile interface for this site can suck on my left nut.Also, I'm waffling on you so hard right now you could stick a kid on the town side and another kid on the scum side and call it a see-saw.

Way to be willfully ignorant.In post 491, Bicephalous Bob wrote:maybe "justified" isn't the right word in 465, but he accused me of pretending to be voting him solely because a wagon on him sprung up, not also because of the reasons I'd given earlier
he didn't explain why he thought that nor did he explain what the scum motivation behind this would be
- You gave a tone reason for possibly wanting to vote me in 337.
- You didn't vote me, despite that reason. At the time it looked like the only reason you didn't vote me was because you couldn't get Bacde to wagon me, as you asked him why I wasn't the wagon target in 355.
- After AP and implo voted me for what look like wagon purposes, you vote for me too. Keep in mind that you have reasons to vote for me at this point, while AP said I was in his null pile in 442and implo didn't even mention me in the wallpost just before the vote. In your voting post, you don't reiterate any of your reasons, just the word "cool."
I certainly did not write you off as a troll, I just normally scumhunt by finding inconsistencies and scumslips. That's pretty much impossible when you joke like you do, so I'm going to have to rely on my gut and my fellow townies to determine if you're scum. I also don't see how Bob's vote on me was the "weakest" when he was the only one to have any sort of reason for voting me at the time.AngryPidgeon wrote:Like this feels scummy to me ^. Focusing on defending himself from the weakest vote on the wagon by going after Bob. He sort of just writes me off as a troll and he goes after implosion's opinion on Quill which was a fairly easy thing to attack someone over even though I felt implosion's point on Quill made complete sense.In post 480, Abelcain wrote:If you have a justified reason to vote me, why did you wait until AP and implo put what look like "baseless wagon votes" on me?

I know this is just a small fraction of your posts, but can you see why I might have some trust issues with trying to read you instead of Bacde? I don't have a problem with anyone being trolly, but when it starts making me wonder if any of your posts could be sincere I can't rely on my brain to not read one of your jokes as a fact or vice versa.
You seem to care how you're viewed enough to announce what non-flaily things you did instead of letting us come to that conclusion ourselves. And you were definitely flaily on what you thought about the setup.leviathan93 wrote:So beginning game IS me all over the place. but it's not flaily at all. that makes it seem like its not on purpose.
