I have bookmarked the Ban Announcement thread. It does not show up in my bookmarks. It has the remove from bookmarks option.

Announcements are wonky in PHP. Bookmarking is just one of the ways; the unread posts problem is another. I always go to my User Control Panel after checking my Bookmarks to see which announcements changed, then work my way through the thread to find the new posts.
