The problem with random lynching is that you're just one step closer to losing. On most setups you can only afford to mislynch maybe twice, or three times before it's game over. It's therefore pointless to waste one of those chances on a silly hunch on day 1.

On a site which usually promotes No Lynching?

The site I play on usually starts on a night round; that way the town usually has

some

information on the day round. No Lynch usually isn't necessary unless the game starts on a day.

I think Not_Mafia is at least somewhat scummy judging by his behaviour. I understand why mala & tammy voted for me, but I think N_M was quite quick to jump on the bandwagon.

It barely acknowledges my previous explanation on me not liking random voting. To me it looks like more of a prod to try and get information from me.
Perhaps if he is mafia, he may trying to get me to roleclaim. Or, he's trying to get me to say something that sounds "bad" in context and thus justifying his vote.

Maybe I am just being paranoid, but it seems like the best thing to do at the moment.

There are no town investigative roles on day one in this setup, so there is no information to go on if we no-lynch.
Games on mafiascum are much more day-phase-oriented than on other sites. If you don't catch a majority of the scum during the day, you're probably going to lose.

I'll bear that in mind. I guess I am more used to playing night-orientated games.

One thing I would like to address is it doesn't matter what my opinion is regarding this site's meta. Everyone has a different strategy and it shouldn't thus be forced upon someone to think the same way. I'm sorry, but I don't really care what you think. I like to think the way I have played on other sites has been successful thus far. I don't want to change the way I play just because some people disagree. As stated, everyone's different.

I think you misread my post there; it's not that I don't like being prodded for info, it's that I thought N_M's prodding was wagon-like. I was wrong there as I clarified in a later post on a different page. You are correct in that I don't like Random Voting, though.

I knew people would vote for me becuase of that which resulted in me trying to explain myself. I did not anticipate this backlash. To me, his post at the time felt like he was jumping on a bandwagon and trying to prod information about me. That theory was wrong as I understood his side of the story on Post #103 (N_M's post) & Post #105 (My post).
